Performance Analysis of Bulk Queueing Systems With Inspection, Two Rework Cycles and Multiple Vacations

open access: yesمجلة بغداد للعلوم
In a production system, rework plays a key role in reducing waste and efficiently managing manufacturing costs. The proposed model addresses a system with batch arrivals, a single server, and a two-stage bulk service with inspection, two rework cycles ...

A Universal Protein Ladder for Standardization of Diverse FRET Assays

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Translating FRET measurements from in vitro to intracellular environments requires universal benchmarks. We present a modular protein ladder using TPR motifs to harmonize data across diverse platforms. This predictable calibration curve bridges single molecule FRET measurements, with cell based measurements including FLIM‐FRET.

Dynamic Analysis of a Standby System with Retrial Strategies and Multiple Working Vacations

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we developed a new standby system that combines a retrial strategy with multiple working vacations, and we performed a dynamic analysis of the system.

Analysis of a retrial queue with multiple vacations and state dependent arrivals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This paper examines an M/G/1 retrial queueing system with multiple vacations and different arrival rates. Whenever the system is empty, the server immediately takes a vacation. At a vacation completion epoch, if the number of customers in the orbit is at

Sheet‐Size‐Dependent Mosaicity of 2D Phyllosilicate Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study explores how the size of 2D vermiculite sheets affects the structure of laminar membranes. High‐resolution x‐ray diffraction reveals how sheet size governs structural disorder and crystallinity. These changes directly impact ion permeability.

Stability and Delay of NDMA-MPR Protocol in Rice-Correlated Channels with Co-Channel Interference

open access: yesTechnologies, 2019
This paper investigates backlog retransmission strategies for a class of random access protocols with retransmission diversity (i.e., network diversity multiple access or NDMA) combined with multiple-antenna-based multi-packet reception (MPR). This paper

Photoelectric Imaging of the Optically Inactive Charge State of Silicon‐Vacancy Defects in Diamond

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Although the doubly negative charge state of the SiV center in diamond is predicted to ionize only in the ultraviolet and is therefore considered optically inaccessible, we demonstrate visible‐range photoelectric imaging enabled by a previously unrecognized regime of laser‐assisted tunneling. ABSTRACT The investigation of optically active point defects

Cobalt‐Catalyzed Asymmetric Construction of Boron Stereocenters With C–N Axial Chirality

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A cobalt/Salox‐catalyzed one‐pot annulation enables enantioselective formation of B‐stereogenic centers and C─N axial chirality via C─H/N─H annulation, affording diverse fluorescent products with high stereocontrol and optoelectronic potential. ABSTRACT The efficient construction of boron stereogenic centers alongside axial chirality remains a ...

Analysis of a multi-component system with failure dependency, N-policy and vacations

open access: yesOperations Research Perspectives, 2018
This paper studies a repairable k-out-of-n:G system with failure dependencies, N-policy and repairman’s multiple vacations. Whenever there are no broken components, the repairman leaves for a vacation which obeys a phase type distribution. Upon returning

Tailored Covalent Organic Frameworks Enable the Encapsulation of Living Cells to Produce Rare Ginsenoside

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work reports the in situ fabrication of Escherichia coli@covalent organic frameworks (E. coli@COFs) in phosphate‐buffered saline. The COFs form an exoskeleton on E. coli, protecting intracellular β‐glucosidase (Ssbgl) while enhancing mass transfer.
