Ensemble Artificial Intelligence Framework for Real-Time Automatic Vehicle Detection and Classifications

open access: yesIEEE Access
Vehicle detection plays a vital role in a variety of applications such as autonomous driving, traffic management, and public safety. In this article, we propose an ensemble artificial intelligence framework to simultaneously detect and classify various ...

The Role Classifiers Play in Selecting the Referent of a Word

open access: yesLanguages, 2023
An important cue to the meaning of a new noun is its accompanying classifier. For example, in English, X in “a sheet of X” should refer to a broad, flat object. A classifier is required in Chinese to quantify nouns. Using children’s overt responses in an

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

Design and Implementation of a Hybrid Wireless Charging System for Light and Heavy-Duty Electric Vehicles Based on Matrix Charging Network

open access: yesIEEE Access
Vehicles can be categorized into two types: light-duty (LD) and heavy-duty (HD) vehicles. In certain charging scenarios, it is necessary to provide wireless charging for multiple electric vehicles (EVs) of both light and heavy types.

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Identifying vehicle types from trajectory data based on spatial-semantic information

open access: yesGeo-spatial Information Science
Obtaining information about various vehicle types traveling on road networks is crucial for estimating traffic loads on roads, evaluating the adequacy of road design standards, and providing personalized navigation guidance. Traditional intrusive and non-

Video‐based traffic data collection system for multiple vehicle types

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems, 2014
Traffic data of multiple vehicle types are important for pavement design, traffic operations and traffic control. A new video‐based traffic data collection system for multiple vehicle types is developed. By tracking and classifying every passing vehicle under mixed traffic conditions, the type and speed of every passing vehicle are recognised. Finally,

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Interferon beta drives therapy resistance in a patient‐derived model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Interferon type 1 (IFN‐1) production and signaling is associated with the acquisition of therapy resistance, following chronic DNA damage, via Interferon‐related DNA damage resistance signature (IRDS) gene expression. An alternative, DNA damage‐independent role of sustained IFN‐1 mediated resistance was identified and characterized by the emergence of ...
