Correlated multiplexity and connectivity of multiplex random networks [PDF]

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2012
Nodes in a complex networked system often engage in more than one type of interactions among them; they form a multiplex network with multiple types of links. In real-world complex systems, a node's degree for one type of links and that for the other are not randomly distributed but correlated, which we term correlated multiplexity.

Overview of Multiplex Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence Techniques
in the Lung Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesChinese Journal of Lung Cancer, 2021
Lung cancer is the most common malignancy and is a major public health problem worldwide. Programmed cell death receptor 1 (PD-1)/programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitors provide a new treatment strategy for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC ...

Dynamic evaluation of blood immune cells predictive of response to immune checkpoint inhibitors in NSCLC by multicolor spectrum flow cytometry

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2023
IntroductionImmune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) only benefit a subset of cancer patients, underlining the need for predictive biomarkers for patient selection.

A wide-band perfect light absorber at mid-wave infrared using multiplexed metal structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We experimentally demonstrate a wide band near perfect light absorber in the mid-wave infrared region using multiplexed plasmonic metal structures. The wide band near perfect light absorber is made of two different size gold metal squares multiplexed on a thin dielectric spacing layer on the top of a thick metal layer in each unit cell.

Mesoscopic Structures Reveal the Network Between the Layers of Multiplex Datasets [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. E 92, 042806 (2015), 2015
Multiplex networks describe a large variety of complex systems, whose elements (nodes) can be connected by different types of interactions forming different layers (networks) of the multiplex. Multiplex networks include social networks, transportation networks or biological networks in the cell or in the brain.

Development and Standardization of a High-Throughput Multiplex Immunoassay for the Simultaneous Quantification of Specific Antibodies to Five Respiratory Syncytial Virus Proteins

open access: yesmSphere, 2019
Human respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a major cause of severe respiratory disease in (premature) newborns and causes respiratory illness in the elderly. Different monoclonal antibody (MAb) and vaccine candidates are in development worldwide and will

Centralities of Nodes and Influences of Layers in Large Multiplex Networks [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Complex Networks, cnx050 (2017), 2017
We formulate and propose an algorithm (MultiRank) for the ranking of nodes and layers in large multiplex networks. MultiRank takes into account the full multiplex network structure of the data and exploits the dual nature of the network in terms of nodes and layers.
