Multiplexed imaging for diagnosis and therapy
Nature Biomedical Engineering, 2017Complex molecular and metabolic phenotypes depict cancers as a constellation of different diseases with common themes. Precision imaging of such phenotypes requires flexible and tunable modalities capable of identifying phenotypic fingerprints by using a restricted number of parameters while ensuring sensitivity to dynamic biological regulation. Common

Nanoparticles for Multiplex Diagnostics and Imaging
Nanomedicine, 2006The drive to understand biology and medicine at the molecular level with accurate quantitation demands much of current high-throughput analysis systems. Nanomaterials and nanotechnology combined with modern instrumentation have the potential to address this emerging challenge.

Polarization Multiplexing for Bidirectional Imaging
2005 IEEE Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR'05), 2005Our goal is to incorporate polarization in appearance-based modeling in an efficient and meaningful way. Polarization has been used in numerous prior studies for separating diffuse and specular reflectance components, but in this work we show that it also can be used to separate surface reflectance contributions from individual light sources.

Frequency division multiplexed imaging
SPIE Proceedings, 2013In this paper, we describe frequency division multiplexed imaging (FDMI), where multiple images are captured simultaneously in a single shot and can later be extracted from the multiplexed image. This is achieved by spatially modulating the images so that they are placed at different locations in the Fourier domain.

Coded Illumination and Multiplexing for Lensless Imaging
ICASSP 2020 - 2020 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2020Mask-based lensless cameras offer an alternative option to conventional cameras. Compared to conventional cameras, lensless cameras can be extremely thin, flexible, and lightweight. Despite these advantages, the quality of images recovered from the lensless cameras is often poor because of the ill-conditioning of the underlying linear system.

Imaging in multiplexed illumination
SPIE Proceedings, 2004Lighting plays an important role in many applications of computer vision, machine vision and computer graphics. Often, an object needs to be photographed multiple times, in each of which lighting comes from a different direction. Lighting which uses a single source per image is prone to dynamic range problems, especially in dark areas and in specular ...

Multiplexed Chemical Sensing CMOS Imager
ACS Sensors, 2022A miniaturized and multiplexed chemical sensing technology is urgently needed to empower mobile devices and robots for various new applications such as mobile health and Internet of Things. Here, we show that a complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) imager can be turned into a multiplexed colorimetric sensing chip by coating micron-scale ...

Temporal Multiplexed in Vivo Upconversion Imaging
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2020Upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs), typically converting near-infrared (NIR) light into visible luminescence, are promising for bioimaging applications. However, optical multiplexed in vivo upconversion experiments have long been hampered by the exceptional rarity of available luminescence bands in UCNPs that can penetrate deep in tissues.

Multiple-image encryption by wavelength multiplexing
Optics Letters, 2005We introduce the technique of wavelength multiplexing into a double random-phase encoding system to achieve multiple-image encryption. Each primary image is first encrypted by the double phase encoding method and then superposed to yield the final enciphered image.

Fourier Multiplexed Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging
2021Fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) is a widely used functional imaging method in bioscience. Fourier multiplexed FLIM (FmFLIM), a frequency-domain lifetime measurement method, explores the principle of Fourier (frequency) multiplexing to achieve parallel lifetime detection on multiple fluorescence labels.
