Static Timing Analysis for Critical Path Identification in Ternary Logic Circuits

open access: yesIranian Journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2022
In this article, a critical path identification method is proposed for ternary logic circuits. The considered structure for the ternary circuits is based on 2:1 multiplexers.

Synchronization in Delayed Multiplex Networks [PDF]

open access: yesEPL 111, 30010 (2015), 2016
We study impact of multiplexing on the global phase synchronizability of different layers in the delayed coupled multiplex networks. We find that at strong couplings, the multiplexing induces the global synchronization in sparse networks. The introduction of global synchrony depends on the connection density of the layers being multiplexed, which ...

Diversity-multiplexing tradeoff in mode-division multiplexing [PDF]

open access: yesOptics Letters, 2014
The capacity of mode-division multiplexing (MDM) systems is limited, for a given outage probability, by mode-dependent loss (MDL) and gain. Modal degrees of freedom may be exploited to increase transmission rate (multiplexing gain) or lower outage probability (diversity gain), but there is a fundamental tradeoff between the achievable multiplexing and ...

Correlated multiplexity and connectivity of multiplex random networks [PDF]

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2012
Nodes in a complex networked system often engage in more than one type of interactions among them; they form a multiplex network with multiple types of links. In real-world complex systems, a node's degree for one type of links and that for the other are not randomly distributed but correlated, which we term correlated multiplexity.

Ultra-Broadband Mode Converter and Multiplexer Based on Sub-Wavelength Structures

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2018
Current bandwidth capacity provided by wavelength-division multiplexing and polarization-division multiplexing is insufficient to keep up with the increasing bandwidth demand required for new services.

Performance evaluation of efficient combinational logic design using nanomaterial electronics

open access: yesCogent Engineering, 2017
Scaling down trend of CMOS transistor is approaching its lowest point, the rational substitute for the CMOS technology to attain advance improvements in terms of size, low power, and device density usage is an imperative essential.

A wide-band perfect light absorber at mid-wave infrared using multiplexed metal structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We experimentally demonstrate a wide band near perfect light absorber in the mid-wave infrared region using multiplexed plasmonic metal structures. The wide band near perfect light absorber is made of two different size gold metal squares multiplexed on a thin dielectric spacing layer on the top of a thick metal layer in each unit cell.

Mesoscopic Structures Reveal the Network Between the Layers of Multiplex Datasets [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. E 92, 042806 (2015), 2015
Multiplex networks describe a large variety of complex systems, whose elements (nodes) can be connected by different types of interactions forming different layers (networks) of the multiplex. Multiplex networks include social networks, transportation networks or biological networks in the cell or in the brain.

Extracting Information from Multiplex Networks [PDF]

open access: yesChaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science 26.6 (2016): 065306, 2016
Multiplex networks are generalized network structures that are able to describe networks in which the same set of nodes are connected by links that have different connotations. Multiplex networks are ubiquitous since they describe social, financial, engineering and biological networks as well.
