Engineering Novel DNA Nanoarchitectures for Targeted Drug Delivery and Aptamer Mediated Apoptosis in Cancer Therapeutics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Designer DNA Architecture‐templated Drug Conjugates (DDA‐DCs) are comprised of a DNA nanomaterial decorated with multiple drug‐loaded DNA aptamers. DDA‐DCs use a combination of multiple aptamer types, each recognizing a different membrane protein to achieve precise targeting of cancer cells.

Spatially multiplexed single-photon sources based on binary-tree multiplexers with optimized structure [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We develop a method for optimizing the structure of general binary-tree multiplexers realized with asymmetric photon routers aiming at improving the performance of spatially multiplexed single-photon sources. Our procedure systematically considers all possible binary-tree multiplexers that can be formed by a certain number of photon routers. Using this

Effect of Pipelining and Multiplexing in Estimating HTTP/2.0 Web Object Sizes [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
HTTP response size is a well-known side channel attack. With the deployment of HTTP/2.0, response size estimation attacks are generally dismissed with the argument that pipelining and response multiplexing prevent eavesdroppers from finding out response sizes.

Faces of a Changing Climate: Semi-Quantitative Multi-Mycotoxin Analysis of Grain Grown in Exceptional Climatic Conditions in Norway

open access: yesToxins, 2013
Recent climatological research predicts a significantly wetter climate in Southern Norway as a result of global warming. Thus, the country has already experienced unusually wet summer seasons in the last three years (2010–2012).

3D Microtumors Representing Ovarian Cancer Minimal Residual Disease Respond to the Fatty Acid Oxidation Inhibitor Perhexiline

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Minimal residual disease (MRD) leads to cancer relapse and poor survival in ovarian cancer. The lack of representative 3D models limits therapy development. The microfluidics‐based high throughput 3D microtumor platform described here generates clinically‐relevant MRD models. The 3D microtumors recapitulate the molecular signatures of MRD from patients.

Multiplexing Analysis of Millimeter-Wave Massive MIMO Systems [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
This paper is concerned with spatial multiplexing analysis for millimeter-wave (mmWave) massive MIMO systems. For a single-user mmWave system employing distributed antenna subarray architecture in which the transmitter and receiver consist of Kt and Kr subarrays, respectively, an asymptotic multiplexing gain formula is firstly derived when the numbers ...

A Versatile Silicon-Silicon Nitride Photonics Platform for Enhanced Functionalities and Applications

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Silicon photonics is one of the most prominent technology platforms for integrated photonics and can support a wide variety of applications. As we move towards a mature industrial core technology, we present the integration of silicon nitride (SiN ...
