In this article, the establishment and characterization of a self‐assembled 3D BBB spheroid model using human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC)‐derived and primary cells is reported. Spheroids demonstrate in‐vivo like tight junction ultrastructure and, in comparison to 2D mono‐cultures, higher transcript expression of BBB specific genes.

A novel space division multiplexing system for free space optical communications [PDF]
We propose a novel space division multiplexing (SDM) technique based on spatial phase encoding, which may provide a new perspective beyond the conventional SDM in free space optical communications, such as multiplexing of orbital angular momentum (OAM).

Light‐Triggered Protease‐Mediated Release of Actin‐Bound Cargo from Synthetic Cells
TEV Prtoease‐mediated Releasable Actin‐binding Protein (TRAP) is a protein‐based platform consisting of a cargo tightly bound to reconstituted actin networks in synthetic cells which can be proteolyticly released from the bound actin, followed by its secretion through membrane translocation mediated by a cell‐penetrating peptide.

Front-end Multiplexing - applied to SQUID multiplexing : Athena X-IFU and QUBIC experiments
As we have seen for digital camera market and a sensor resolution increasing to "megapixels", all the scientific and high-tech imagers (whatever the wave length - from radio to X-ray range) tends also to always increases the pixels number.

Integrating selective RNA shortcut, targeted gene isolation, and micro‐arrayed nanoimaging, the NanoPick‐array platform excels in detecting severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) at just 60 copies µL−1 and accurately differentiating variants at the single‐nucleotide level. It ensures 100% accuracy for samples with cycle threshold (

Reducing Multiphoton Noise in Multiplexed Single-Photon Sources
Multiplexed single-photon sources can produce indistinguishable single photons with high probability in near-perfect spatial modes. Such systems, realized with optical elements having losses, can be optimized—that is, both the optimal number of ...

Recovering Multiplexing Loss Through Successive Relaying Using Repetition Coding
In this paper, a transmission protocol is studied for a two relay wireless network in which simple repetition coding is applied at the relays. Information-theoretic achievable rates for this transmission scheme are given, and a space-time V-BLAST ...

Capacity Enhancement with Meta-Multiplexing [PDF]
Multiplexing services as a key communication technique to effectively combine multiple signals into one signal and transmit over a shared medium. Multiplexing can increase the channel capacity by requiring more resources on the transmission medium. For instance, the space-division multiplexing accomplished through the multiple-input multiple-output ...

Carbon Nanotube 3D Integrated Circuits: From Design to Applications
As Moore's law approaches its physical limits, carbon nanotube (CNT) 3D integrated circuits (ICs) emerge as a promising alternative due to the miniaturization, high mobility, and low power consumption. CNT 3D ICs in optoelectronics, memory, and monolithic ICs are reviewed while addressing challenges in fabrication, design, and integration.
