Data Transmission by Frequency-Division Multiplexing Using the Discrete Fourier Transform

, 1971
The Fourier transform data communication system is a realization of frequency-division multiplexing (FDM) in which discrete Fourier transforms are computed as part of the modulation and demodulation processes.

Polytopic multiplexing

Optics Letters, 2004
Polytopic multiplexing is a new method of overlapping holograms that, when combined with other multiplexing techniques, can increase the capacity of a volume holographic data storage system by more than a factor of 10. This is because the method makes possible the effective utilization of thick media.

Mode Division Multiplexing Communication Using Microwave Orbital Angular Momentum: An Experimental Study

IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2017
Mode division multiplexing (MDM) using orbital angular momentum (OAM) is a recently developed physical layer transmission technique, which has obtained intensive interest among optics, millimeter-wave, and radio frequency due to its capability to enhance

Modular reciprocal multiplexers

International Journal of RF and Microwave Computer-Aided Engineering, 2016
This article presents a modular reciprocal multiplexer in which the number of channels can be reduced or expanded. The proposed configuration is based on reactive loads designed to substitute channel filters. This is at the same time easy to manufacture and easy to reconfigure as reactive loads are conceived, so as not to modify the characteristics of ...

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing with index modulation

Global Communications Conference, 2012
In this paper, a novel orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) scheme, which is called OFDM with index modulation (OFDM-IM), is proposed for frequency-selective fading channels.

Steatocystoma multiplex

Der Hautarzt, 1996
A 24-year-old woman from Peru presented with multiple dark-blue skin lesions. The asymptomatic cystic nodules had increased in number and size over the post 7 years. They were found on the abdomen and back. When one of the cysts was punctured a bunch of vellus hairs was observed. The diagnosis of steatocystoma multiplex was confirmed by histology.
