Potential of fourier transformed near-infrared (FT-NIR) spectroscopy for rapid analysis of elderberry (Sambucus nigra L.) fruits

open access: yesCzech Journal of Food Sciences, 2019
Fruit samples were analysed to investigate the suitability of Fourier transform near infrared spectroscopy (FT-NIR) for the rapid discrimination of elderberry genotypes.

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Novel NIR Spectroscopy Correlation Approach to Amino Acid Analysis of Soybean Proteins for Composition Improvements. (Version 2.0)

open access: yes, 2011
Amino acid NIR calibrations were developed in our Physical Chemistry of Foods Laboratory of the University of Illinois at Urbana for three selected amino acid groups that include essential amino acids for identified soybean accessions.

Filter design based on the fractional Fourier transform associated with new convolutions and correlations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
We introduce new convolutions and correlations associated with the Fractional Fourier Transform (FrFT) which present a significant simplicity in both the time and FrFT domains.

Microfabricated Anisotropic Myobundles for the Scalable Production of Cardiac Tissue Grafts

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlling the anisotropy of cardiac tissue remains an outstanding challenge in the field of cardiac tissue engineering. Here, we introduce an approach to generate anisotropic cardiac myobundles using cell‐adhesive, synthetic, electrospun fibers and stem cell‐derived cardiac fibroblasts.

On the Fourier transform of the greatest common divisor

open access: yes, 2013
The discrete Fourier transform of the greatest common divisor (formula presented) with αm a primitive m-th root of unity, is a multiplicative function that generalizes both the gcd-sum function and Euler's totient function.

Reduced Biquaternion Windowed Linear Canonical Transform: Properties and Applications

open access: yesMathematics
The quaternion windowed linear canonical transform is a tool for processing multidimensional data and enhancing the quality and efficiency of signal and image processing; however, it has disadvantages due to the noncommutativity of quaternion ...

Unlocking Exceptional Strengthening in Aluminum Alloys via Interstitial Cottrell Atmosphere Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Cyclic unloading‐aging‐reloading micro‐tensile tests under various aging durations and temperatures, combined with comprehensive microstructural characterization reveal that the yield point phenomenon in Aluminum‐Carbon (Al‐C) thin films originates from Cottrell atmosphere formation.

On the support of Fourier transform of weighted distributions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
summary:We give sufficient conditions for the support of the Fourier transform of a certain class of weighted integrable distributions to lie in the region $x_{1}\geq 0$ and $x_{2}\geq 0$
