Projection of acoustic fields using the Fourier transform

open access: yes, 1985
A method is presented for projecting acoustic fields using the Fourier transform. It is shown that the source velocity distribution can be represented by a number of sinusoids.

Repeated fractional Fourier domain filtering is equivalent to repeated time and frequency domain filtering

open access: yes, 1996
Any system consisting of a sequence of multiplicative filters inserted between several fractional Fourier transform stages, is equivalent to a system composed of an appropriately chosen sequence of multiplicative filters inserted between appropriately ...

Computing exact Fourier series coefficients of IC rectilinear polygons from low-resolution fast Fourier coefficients [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We present a novel, accurate and fast algorithm to obtain Fourier series coecients from an IC layer whose description consists of rectilinear polygons on a plane, and how to implement it using o-the-shelf hardware components.

Identification of circulating biomarkers of Crohn's disease and spondyloarthritis using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy

open access: yes, 2023
International audienceCrohn's disease (CD) and spondyloarthritis (SpA) are two inflammatory diseases sharing many common features (genetic polymorphism, armamentarium). Both diseases lack diagnostic markers of certainty. While the diagnosis of CD is made

Sustainable Synaptic Device with Two‐Dimensional Ferroelectric Materials for Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
α‐In2Se3 based FeSFETs can be utilized as sustainable devices through polarization switching governed by both out‐of‐plane and in‐plane polarizations. Upon reaching a fatigued state, current annealing enabled by conductance modulation can significantly enhance the endurance of FeSFETs.

Novel Polynomial Basis with Fast Fourier Transform and Its Application to Reed-Solomon Erasure Codes

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper, we present a fast Fourier transform (FFT) algorithm over extension binary fields, where the polynomial is represented in a non-standard basis.

Self‐Powered Bearing Sensing and Real‐Time Fault Diagnosis Enabled by Non‐Invasive Triboelectric Sensors and Edge AI Acceleration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study achieves the synergistic integration of self‐powered sensing and edge AI acceleration to establish a real‐time fault diagnosis system. The proposed TENG‐based self‐powered bearing sensor (NSE‐TBS) and FPGA‐accelerated edge AI framework fundamentally break through the inherent limitations of conventional monitoring systems, including complex ...

Ultra‐Wide‐Field Noninvasive Imaging Through Scattering Media Via Physics‐Guided Deep Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We propose a physics‐guided adaptive dual‐domain learning method for ultra‐wide‐field noninvasive imaging through scattering media, namely UNI‐Net. Our method not only reduces the requirement for real experimental data by an order of magnitude but also enables clear imaging of complex scenes with an ultra‐large field of view, which is 164 times the OME

Machine learning-enhanced Attenuated Total Reflectance Fourier Transform Infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy for discrimination of green Arabica and Robusta coffee beans

open access: yesJournal of Agriculture and Food Research
Arabica and Robusta are the two primary commercial coffee species, and reliable discrimination between their beans is critical for detecting adulteration.
