Integrated multiple functions electronic pillows
Signal and Information Processing Association Annual Summit and Conference (APSIPA), 2014 Asia-Pacific, 2014This paper presents audio-integrated snore active noise control (ANC) systems based on the portable pillow setup to effectively reduce the annoying snore and mask the residual noise. Computer simulations and real-time experiments show the performance of the ANC systems based on the pillow setup achieved higher noise reduction at the ears of the snorer ...

Plant Aquaporins: Membrane Channels with Multiple Integrated Functions
Annual Review of Plant Biology, 2008Aquaporins are channel proteins present in the plasma and intracellular membranes of plant cells, where they facilitate the transport of water and/or small neutral solutes (urea, boric acid, silicic acid) or gases (ammonia, carbon dioxide). Recent progress was made in understanding the molecular bases of aquaporin transport selectivity and gating. The

Dynamic functional neuroimaging integrating multiple modalities
2001Abstract The past few decades have witnessed extraordinary progress in the development of techniques for noninvasive structural and functional imaging of the human brain. However, despite this progress, no existing medical imaging modality provides all of the information required for best clinical practice or cutting edge research.

Multiple stable integrals of Banach-valued functions
Journal of Theoretical Probability, 1990This paper is devoted to a study of the multiple stable integrals of Banach-valued functions. Let M be a symmetric \(\alpha\)-stable random measure and S be a separable Banach space of Rademacher-type \(p\geq 1\), with \(p>\alpha\). If \(f: {\mathbb{R}}^ n\to S\) is a symmetric deterministic function vanishing on the diagonals then a sufficient ...

ITERATED EULER'S INTEGRALS AND NORMALIZED MULTIPLE SINE FUNCTIONS
International Journal of Mathematics, 2009We introduce iterated Euler's integrals, and we give expressions using zeta functions. Moreover, we prove that normalized multiple sine functions are expressed via iterated Euler's integrals. Then, we show basic properties of multiple sine functions from these results containing Kummer type formula.

Predicting Protein Function via Semantic Integration of Multiple Networks
IEEE/ACM Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, 2016Determining the biological functions of proteins is one of the key challenges in the post-genomic era. The rapidly accumulated large volumes of proteomic and genomic data drives to develop computational models for automatically predicting protein function in large scale.

Value Function Structure For Multiple Sensor Integration
SPIE Proceedings, 1985A value function structure is proposed to solve the problem of multiple sensor integration. The value of a sensor or a group of sensors will be a function of the number of possible object contenders under consideration and the number that can be rejected by using the information available. It will also depend on the current state of the environment and

Approximation of multiple integrals by simple integrals involving periodic functions
Kybernetes, 2004In this paper, we consider problems of numerical integration of fast oscillatory functions of one variable, obtained by using α‐dense curves and approximating multiple integrals. Using first, periodic and regular α‐dense curves we propose a trapezoidal formula for calculating the periodic integrand obtained.
