Systems with Multiplicative Noise: Critical Behavior from KPZ Equation and Numerics
We show that certain critical exponents of systems with multiplicative noise can be obtained from exponents of the KPZ equation. Numerical simulations in 1d confirm this prediction, and yield other exponents of the multiplicative noise problem.

Cramer–Rao lower bounds for change points in additive and multiplicative noise [PDF]
The paper addresses the problem of determining the Cramer–Rao lower bounds (CRLBs) for noise and change-point parameters, for steplike signals corrupted by multiplicative and/or additive white noise. Closed-form expressions for the signal and noise CRLBs

On variance reduction for stochastic smooth convex optimization with multiplicative noise [PDF]
We propose dynamic sampled stochastic approximation (SA) methods for stochastic optimization with a heavy-tailed distribution (with finite 2nd moment). The objective is the sum of a smooth convex function with a convex regularizer.

Beyond the Beam: Exploring Charged Particle Nanoprinting
Charged particle nanoprinting using electrons and ions is highly advanced, offering great potential for research and industry. However, challenges in precursor design and process optimization persist, but also offer great opportunities to drive nanofabrication innovations.

Exact solutions for the system of stochastic equations for the ion sound and Langmuir waves
We consider the system of stochastic equations of the ion sound and Langmuir waves with multiplicative noise in the Itô sense. To get new exact stochastic solutions, we apply three distinct methods such as: He’s semi-inverse method, the Riccati–Bernoulli

Tight Upper and Lower Bounds to the Information Rate of the Phase Noise Channel
Numerical upper and lower bounds to the information rate transferred through the additive white Gaussian noise channel affected by discrete-time multiplicative autoregressive moving-average (ARMA) phase noise are proposed in the paper. The state space of

Stabilizing role of multiplicative noise in nonconfining potentials
We provide a simple framework for the study of parametric (multiplicative) noise, making use of scale parameters. We focus on a large class of one-dimensional stochastic differential equations in which the deterministic drift pushes trajectories toward ...

On the nature of different types of absorbing states
We present a comparison of three different types of Langevin equation exhibiting absorbing states: the Langevin equation defining the Reggeon field theory, one with multiplicative noise, and a third type in which the noise is complex.
