Effect of Panel Construction on the Ballistic Performance of Multiply 3D through-the-Thickness Angle-Interlock fabrIc Reinforced Composites [PDF]
This paper studied the ballistic performance of 3D woven angle-interlock fabric reinforced composites with different types of panel construction. Two types of composites P10B and P17C were designed to have the same areal density of around 12 kg/m2 although they both had different ply areal densities and consisted of different numbers of plies.

Self‐Priming Enzymatic Fabrication of Multiply Modified DNA [PDF]
AbstractThe self‐priming synthesis of multiply modified DNA by the extension of repeating unit duplex “oligoseeds” provides a source of versatile DNA. Sterically‐demanding nucleotides 5‐Br‐dUTP, 7‐deaza‐7‐I‐dATP, 6‐S‐dGTP, 5‐I‐dCTP as well as 5‐(octadiynyl)‐dCTP were incorporated into two extending oligoseeds; [GATC]5/[GATC]5 and [A4G]4/[CT4]4.

Design and studies of thick Gas Electron Multipliers fabricated in India
THick Gas Electron Multipliers (THGEMs) are robust and high gain Micro Pattern Gaseous Detectors which are economically manufactured by standard drilling and etching of thin printed circuit boards. In this paper, we present our recent simulation as well as experimental studies on THGEMs which have been fabricated in India using local expertise.

Gas electron multipliers (GEMs) have been widely used for particle collection and signal amplification. Because of the advantages of glass, such as high hardness, aging resistance, and dielectric strength, research into its application as a substrate material in GEM design and process has attracted extensive attention in recent years.

Fabrication and characterization of advanced neutron multipliers for DEMO blanket
AbstractPrototypic pebbles with Be12V composition, which do not undergo a peritectic reaction during cooling, were fabricated and characterized, because this composition is not only unnecessary for the homogenization treatment, but also able to prevent increase of specific surface area.
