Specialized Feeding Behavior of an Endangered Primate Enhances Forest Health in China
The endangered black‐and‐white snub‐nosed monkey (Rhinopithecus bieti) exhibits a specialized diet on the lichen Usnea longissima. We proved that the U. longissima is harmful to trees and the monkey mitigates overgrowth of the lichen, as well as promotes its regeneration to maintain population, thereby promoting ecosystem health and resilience.

MuscleX‐DI: an integrated data analysis package for X‐ray scanning diffraction imaging experiments
MuscleX‐Diffraction Imaging (MuscleX‐DI) is an integrated, open‐source software suite for data reduction and visualization of scanning X‐ray diffraction (XRD) experiments. It is developed in Python and runs on Linux, Microsoft Windows or macOS. MuscleX‐DI offers an end‐to‐end software analysis pipeline that ingests diffraction patterns and raster scan ...

ABSTRACT Spatiotemporal clustering occupies an established role in various fields dealing with geospatial analysis, spanning from healthcare analysis to environmental science. One major challenge is application in which cluster assignments are dependent on local densities, meaning that higher‐density areas should be treated more strictly for spatial ...

A simheuristic‐based algorithm for the stochastic long‐term maintenance scheduling problem
Abstract This work addresses the problem of assigning preventive maintenance jobs in a 52‐week planning horizon. Given a set of machines that need preventive maintenance, a set of maintenance jobs in these machines, a set of work teams, and a planning horizon, the problem consists of assigning each job to a work team in a given instant of the planning ...

Multtestlib: A Python package for performing unit tests using multiprocessing
This paper presents a novel Python package designed to accelerate the execution of unit tests by capitalizing on multiprocessing techniques. To circumvent the limitations imposed by Python’s Global Interpreter Lock (GIL), which precludes concurrent ...

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) prevalence is rising globally, underscoring the critical need for early detection to improve intervention outcomes. Atypical pupillary light reflex (PLR) has emerged as a promising biomarker for this purpose. This study leverages machine learning to enhance the accuracy of early ASD screening in children aged 3–6.

Algebraic Connectivity Maximizing Regular Graphs: Special Case Analysis and Depth‐First Search
ABSTRACT The algebraic connectivity is an indicator of how well connected a graph is. It also characterizes the convergence speed of some dynamic processes over networks. In this paper, taking into account that homogeneous networks are modeled as regular graphs, we tackle the following problem: given a pair (n,k)$$ \left(n,k\right) $$ of positive ...

Accelerating intelligent vehicle vision: A hybrid Python-Rust architecture with partial-blocking inter-process communication [PDF]
Modern autonomous systems require high-throughput, reliable vision pipelines with real-time guarantees. This paper presents a hybrid Python-Rust architecture that leverages synchronized shared memory and introduces a novel partial-blocking inter-process ...
