Multiquadric radial basis functions for representing multidimensional high energy physics data
Computer Physics Communications, 1993Abstract We examine how basis functions can be used to represent multidimensional data and argue that radial basis functions are a natural choice. Of all the possible radial basis functions, multiquadrics, counter-intuitively, turn out to be supremely suitable for representing high energy physics event densities, and probably many other forms of ...

A worst case robust design approach based on a suitable application of interval arithmetic (IA) is proposed. The use of IA leads to a definition of the interval extension of the Taylor series named interval Taylor extension (ITE). The width of the ITE (WITE) has been shown to be a valuable robustness index in the case of polynomial performance ...

Approximate Interpolation by Neural Networks with the Inverse Multiquadric Functions
2007For approximate interpolation, a type of single-hidden layer feedforward neural networks with the inverse multiquadric activation function is presented in this paper. We give a new and quantitative proof of the fact that a single layer neural networks with n+1 hidden neurons can learn n + 1 distinct samples with zero error.

Design of Fractional Order Digital Differentiator Using Inverse Multiquadric Radial Basis Function
2012In this paper, a fractional order digital differentiator is designed by using Inverse multiquadric radial basis function (RBF). First, the RBF interpolation approach is described. Then, the non-integer delay sample estimation is derived by using RBF approach.
