Spatial Resolution Impact Assessment for Long‐Term Population Monitoring of Adélie Penguin Guano
Adélie penguins (Pygoscelis adeliae) are key indicators of the Antarctic ecosystem, and remotely sensed guano stains offer an efficient means of estimating breeding abundance. Landsat medium‐resolution (MR) imagery enables long‐term monitoring through its archive.

Electrostatic Similarity Determination Using Multiresolution Analysis
AbstractMolecular similarity is an important tool in protein and drug design for analyzing the quantitative relationships between physicochemical properties of two molecules. We present a family of similarity measures which exploits the ability of wavelet transformation to analyze the spectral components of physicochemical properties and suggests a ...

Design method of nonsubsampled graph filter banks
In order to overcome the problem that it is difficult to accurately define the downsampling operation for a generalized graph signal in graph filter banks, this paper focuses on the design algorithm of nonsubsampled graph filter banks.

Discrete Wavelets and Multiresolution Analysis [PDF]
Summary: In this paper we present an elementary discussion of the discrete wavelet transform. A major problem is formed by the construction of an orthonormal wavelet basis of the Hilbert space of square integrable functions. It is shown that the concept of a multiresolution analysis is very helpful to make such a construction.

This study applies sensitive vibration sensors to investigate gas bubble behavior in liquid metal during argon injection. Analysis of vibration signals provides insights into bubble evolution and the influence of gas flow and surface pressure. The results provide a basis for improved vibration‐based two‐phase flow models, enhancing accuracy in ...

Developing a Robust Multiround HCR‐FISH Method Modified for Caenorhabditis elegans
In this study, a multiround HCR‐FISH protocol modified for whole‐mounted C. elegans samples was developed using a technique that attaches hydrogel‐embedded samples to coverglass. This achieved a sample retention rate exceeding 99% and high signal fidelity, enabling multiplex gene profiling in the same individual after whole‐brain functional imaging ...

A Novel Multiband Spectrum Sensing Method Based on Wavelets and the Higuchi Fractal Dimension
In this work, two novel methodologies for the multiband spectrum sensing in cognitive radios are implemented. Methods are based on the continuous wavelet transform (CWT) and the multiresolution analysis (MRA) to detect the edges of available holes in the

Abstract Background Helical TomoTherapy provides highly conformal dose distributions for breast irradiation but is limited by extensive low‐dose spillage (“low‐dose bath”), contributing to increased integral dose and potential long‐term toxicities. Complete blocks can suppress low‐dose spread, but at the cost of prolonged treatment times on legacy ...
