Azobenzene photoswitches translate molecular‐scale E/Z photoisomerization into macroscopic material responses and device‐level photonic functions. This Review highlights how azobenzene research has evolved from molecular photochemistry to photoalignment, mass migration, photomechanics, and heat release, ultimately enabling holography, reconfigurable ...

Laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI) enables a noninvasive monitoring of microvascular perfusion. Some studies have proposed to extract information from LSCI data through their multiscale entropy (MSE). However, for reaching a large range of scales, the original MSE algorithm may require long recordings for reliability.

The curve shown corresponds to multiscale bubble entropy of a Gaussian white noise signal (N = 5000, μ = 0, σ = 1), calculated over 5 coarse-grained time scales, with estimator parameters: embedding dimension (m) = 2, time delay (τ) = 1.

ABSTRACT Accurately knowing the frontier orbital energies of the structurally disordered small‐molecule organic semiconductors that are used in optoelectronic devices such as organic light‐emitting diodes is required to rationally improve their performance. Here, we show that these energies can be deduced with a large accuracy from the peak energies of

Magnetic DNA Origami Nanorotors
Magnetic actuation is a powerful and broadly applicable actuation mechanism due to its programmability and compatibility with biological entities. Here we demonstrate magnetic DNA origami nanorotors (MADONAs) by assembling magnetic nanocubes on DNA origami.
