Probing Electrocatalyst Design for Product Selectivity in CO2 Reduction
Selective CO2 electroreduction is controlled by catalyst structure, dynamic surface reconstruction, adsorbate interactions, and reaction microenvironment. This review summarizes Cu‐ and non‐Cu‐based catalysts, single‐atom and molecular systems, degradation pathways, and operando/computational strategies for steering CO2RR toward hydrocarbons ...

Pattern‐dependent etching is converted into a physical prior for intelligent reconstruction of high‐aspect‐ratio silicon structures. Combining YOLO‐Pose feature extraction with a topography network, the framework retrieves depth, sidewall angle, and scallop texture from minimal destructive observations, enabling accurate cross‐scale metrology and near ...

This study maps out the hierarchical ordering in 1:2 B‐site complex perovskite ceramics using a comprehensive multiscale characterization route. It turns out that intradomain strain, oxygen vacancies, and Mg disorder within the ordered domains act as strong phonon scatterers.

In glioblastoma, M2‐polarized macrophages secrete IL‐6, which activates STAT3 signaling in tumor cells to upregulate CTSB. Tumor‐derived CTSB binds the C‐terminus of macrophage S100A10, reinforcing M2 polarization and further IL‐6 secretion, thereby establishing a feedforward IL‐6/STAT3/CTSB/S100A10 loop. This cascade drives tumor growth, invasion, and

Multiscale models of thrombogenesis
WIREs Systems Biology and Medicine, 2012AbstractTo restrict the loss of blood follow from the rupture of blood vessels, the human body rapidly forms a clot consisting of platelets and fibrin. However, to prevent pathological clotting within vessels as a result of vessel damage, the response must be regulated.

Multiscale Modeling of Insulin Secretion
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 2011Insulin secretion from pancreatic beta cells is a fundamental physiological process, and its impairment plays a pivotal role in the development of diabetes. Mathematical modeling of insulin secretion has a long history, both on the level of the entire body and on the cellular and subcellular scale.

We review the basic theoretical principles of the adaptive resolution simulation scheme (AdResS). This method allows to change molecular resolution on-the-fly during a simulation by changing the number of degrees of freedom in specific regions of space where the required resolution is higher than in the rest of the system.

Multiscale Modeling of Proteins
Accounts of Chemical Research, 2009The activity within a living cell is based on a complex network of interactions among biomolecules, exchanging information and energy through biochemical processes. These events occur on different scales, from the nano- to the macroscale, spanning about 10 orders of magnitude in the space domain and 15 orders of magnitude in the time domain ...
