An analytical comparison of coalescent-based multilocus methods: The three-taxon case [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Incomplete lineage sorting (ILS) is a common source of gene tree incongruence in multilocus analyses. A large number of methods have been developed to infer species trees in the presence of ILS.

Long‐Term Active Rather than Passive Restoration Promotes Soil Organic Carbon Accumulation by Alleviating Microbial Nitrogen Limitation in an Extremely Degraded Alpine Grassland

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Active restoration increases soil organic carbon stocks by reducing microbial nitrogen limitation. Nitrogen availability promotes particulate to mineral‐associated organic carbon conversion by reducing microbial carbon use efficiency. Passive restoration has no effect on soil organic carbon stocks.

TECHNO-VEGETAL COLLABORATIONS: PLANTS AS COLLABORATORS IN THE DESIGN OF A COMPUTER SCIENCE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

open access: yesDigital Culture & Education, 2023
Posthumanist educational methodologists, theorists, and researchers tend to reproduce zoocentrism by privileging animals over plants in their scholarship. This comes at a time when disciplines from across the academy are taking “plant turns” by attending

Multispecies design: 3D-printed biomimetic structures to enhance humidity levels

open access: yesArchitectural Intelligence, 2023
Abstract The paper changes the focus of the design debate from a human-centered design methodology to a posthuman design that takes both human and nonhuman agents into account. It examines how designers might use a multispecies perspective to produce projects with distinguished intelligence and performance.
