Development of a multispectral camera system

SPIE Proceedings, 2000
A highly accurate multispectral camera and the application software have been developed as a practical system to capture digital images of the artworks stored in galleries and museums. Instead of recording color data in the conventional three RGB primary colors, the newly developed camera and the software carry out a pixel-wise estimation of spectral ...

Automatic exposure control for multispectral cameras

2013 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing, 2013
In this paper we present a method to automatically control the exposure of multispectral cameras. To this end, we use an input image taken using camera pre-sets. This pre-set exposure time and the input image are then used to recover an updated exposure time making use of the spectral power.

Gain control strategy for multispectral camera

SPIE Proceedings, 2011
Multispectral camera is the principal payload in China's first hazards mitigation satellite, which is designed for hazards monitoring, assessment, and management. However, the camera's dynamic range of scenery is not as wide as expected and partly influences imaging quality on-orbit.

Spectral Signature Multiplexing in Multispectral Camera Communication

2022 13th International Symposium on Communication Systems, Networks and Digital Signal Processing (CSNDSP), 2022
Optical camera communication (OCC) is a technology foreseen to have a fundamental role in future communication applications due to the ubiquity of the cameras embedded in most consumer electronic devices and their increasing capabilities (high resolution, scanning frequency, etcetera).

COBRA ATD multispectral camera response model

SPIE Proceedings, 2000
A new multispectral camera response model has been developed in support of the US Marine Corps (USMC) Coastal Battlefield Reconnaissance and Analysis (COBRA) Advanced Technology Demonstration (ATD) Program. This analytical model accurately estimates response form five Xybion intensified IMC 201 multispectral cameras used for COBRA ATD airborne ...

RADIOMETRIC CALIBRATION OF A MULTISPECTRAL CAMERA

2006
We describe in detail a method for calibrating a multispectral imaging system based on interference filters. The calibration aims to remove systematic noises introduced by the sensor, and optic and/or filters from multispectral images. After which, we can correct the non-linearity of the sensor response.

On field radiometric calibration for multispectral cameras

2017 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA), 2017
Perception systems for outdoor robotics have to deal with varying environmental conditions. Variations in illumination in particular, are currently the biggest challenge for vision-based perception. In this paper we present an approach for radiometric characterization of multispectral cameras.

Optical System Design of Multispectral Space Camera

ACTA PHOTONICA SINICA, 2015
The reflective optical system which is characterized by the spectrum band 450~900 nm, focal length of 5 000 mm and F number of 10 was designed. The result indicates that the field angle reaches 1.6°, optical system distortion is less than 0.5%. Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) reaches 0.65 at Nyquist frequency(25 lp/mm) with 6% central obscure, the ...
