A multispectral imaging technique with a new CMOS camera is proposed. With a four channel Bayer patterns, the camera can acquire four spectral images simultaneously. We have developed a color correction process to obtain accurate color information, and we have also demonstrated its applications on portrait enhancement, shadow removal, and vein ...

Efficient Multispectral Facial Capture With Monochrome Cameras [PDF]
We propose a variant to polarized gradient illumination facial scanning which uses monochrome instead of color cameras to achieve more efficient and higher-resolution results. In typical polarized gradient facial scanning, sub-millimeter geometric detail is acquired by photographing the subject in eight or more polarized spherical gradient lighting ...

Development and Deployment of THEIA: A Compact Underwater Multispectral Imaging System [PDF]
We present THEIA, a novel underwater 3D multispectral imaging system. THEIA integrates a 4MP multispectral field array camera and a high-resolution RGB stereo camera pair in a specially built underwater housing to simultaneously capture spectral and ...

Geometric Multispectral Camera Calibration [PDF]
A large number of multispectral cameras uses optical bandpass filters to divide the electromagnetic spectrum into passbands. If the filters are placed between the sensor and the lens, the different thicknesses, refraction indices and tilt angles of the filters cause image distortions, which are different for each spectral passband.

Compact multispectral pushframe camera for nanosatellites [PDF]
In this paper we present an evolution of the single-pixel camera architecture, called “pushframe,” which addresses the limitations of pushbroom cameras in space-based applications. In particular, it is well-suited to observing fast-moving scenes while retaining high spatial resolution and sensitivity.

Camera response function assessment in multispectral HDR imaging
Recently, spatially varying Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Functions (svBRDF) is widely used as a model to characterize the appearance of materials with varying visual properties over the surface. One of the challenges in image-based svBRDF capture systems rises for surfaces with high specularity and sparkles, which require a dynamic range ...
