Intermittent behavior near the boundary of generalized synchronization in unidirectionally coupled time-delayed systems [PDF]

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Прикладная нелинейная динамика
The aim of the work is an analysis of characteristics of intermittent behavior taking place near the boundary of generalized synchronization in unidirectionally coupled time-delayed generators.

On peculiarities of application of the auxiliary system approach for the generalized chaotic synchronization regime detection [PDF]

open access: yesИзвестия Саратовского университета. Новая серия: Физика
Background and Objectives: In this paper we consider the peculiarity that arises during the generalized chaotic synchronization regime detection in systems with a complex attractor topology having internal symmetry.

Quality of Soliton Multistability

open access: yesNonlinear Optics: Materials, Fundamentals and Applications, 2000
Summary form only given. We introduce a quantitative measure of the quality of soliton multistability. As a practical example we compare optical soliton multistability due to type-II second harmonic generation to that found in double resonance quadratic nonlinearity model showing the superiority of the latter.

Forced Response Analysis of Dynamic Systems With Inertia Nonlinearity by Applying the Multiharmonic Balance Method

open access: yesPAMM, Volume 26, Issue 1, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Nonlinear mechanical vibrations under harmonic forcing can be well approximated by Fourier series. For a finite number of harmonics, the error is minimized over one period of vibration. This technique, known as multiharmonic balance method (MHBM), is today widely used in academics as well as industrial applications, e.g., for friction‐damped ...

Remorphable Architectures: Reprogramming Global Bistability through Locally Bistable Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 9, 12 February 2026.
Local bistable reconfiguration in mechanical metamaterials is leveraged in globally bistable architectures to enable in situ reprogrammable transition pathways through state flip of individual building blocks. The local‐to‐global correspondence of instabilities empowers soft robotic systems with on‐demand morphing traits, as well as aerospace ...

Stability of multi-machine power grid with a common load to connecting and disconnecting of generators [PDF]

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Прикладная нелинейная динамика
The purpose of this work is studying the stability of the power grid, consisting of an arbitrary number of synchronous generators supplying a common passive linear load, to disconnection and connection of generators. Methods.

Tunable Patterned Blue Phase Liquid Crystals Based on Lithographic Process Technology

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 6, 9 February 2026.
A patterned blue phase liquid crystal device with electrically driven, localized bistability is demonstrated using a cost‐efficient photolithographic dual‐alignment process. The device switches between a high‐contrast patterned state and a uniform reflective state.

Multistability and skyrmion annihilation mechanisms in nanodots near ordering temperature

open access: yesCommunications Physics
Magnetic skyrmions are promising candidates for next-generation information carriers. In confined geometries, they often coexist with other (meta)stable magnetic states under identical conditions, enabling skyrmion-based multi-bit storage applications ...
