Multiple mixed state variable incremental integration for reconstructing extreme multistability in a novel memristive hyperchaotic jerk system with multiple cubic nonlinearity

Chinese Physics B, 2023
Memristor-based chaotic systems with infinite equilibria are interesting because they generate extreme multistability. Their initial state-dependent dynamics can be explained in a reduced-dimension model by converting the incremental integration of the ...

Hidden multistability of fractional discrete non-equilibrium point memristor based map

Physica Scripta, 2023
At present, the multistability analysis in discrete nonlinear fractional-order systems is a subject that is receiving a lot of attention. In this article, a new discrete non-equilibrium point memristor-based map with γ − th Caputo fractional difference ...

Reliability Bounds for Multistate Systems with Multistate Components

Operations Research, 1985
The reliability literature has recently introduced several multistate models. This paper discusses reliability bounds in the most general of these models. It presents inclusion-exclusion bounds and compares them with disjoint subset bounds. The later bounds are based on a generalization of Abraham's recursive disjoint products.

Three-Dimensional Sine Chaotic System With Multistability and Multi-Scroll Attractor

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems - II - Express Briefs, 2022
In this brief a simple three-dimensional sine chaotic system formed by six terms is presented. The only one nonlinear term, i.e., the sinusoidal function makes the system have infinitely many equilibria.

Flux–Charge Analysis of Two-Memristor-Based Chua's Circuit: Dimensionality Decreasing Model for Detecting Extreme Multistability

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2020
In this paper, from a new perspective of flux and charge, we present in-depth analyses of two ideal memristor emulators and the fifth-order memristive Chua's circuit constructed based on them.

Generalized multistability and its control in a laser.

Chaos, 2022
We revisit the laser model with cavity loss modulation, from which evidence of chaos and generalized multistability was discovered in 1982. Multistability refers to the coexistence of two or more attractors in nonlinear dynamical systems.

Quasiequilibrium multistate cellular automata

Physical Review E, 2022
In our effort to tackle the problem of letting nontrivial interactions, thermodynamic equilibrium, and full synchronicity coexist, and in the hope of reviving interest in cellular automata as promising tools for the quantitative, large-scale investigation of multiparticle systems, we built a fully synchronous cellular automaton rule for the simulation ...

The Multiplicity of Multistabilities: Turning Multistability into a Multistable Concept

2020
The concept of multistability is pertinent today in our technology-intensive world for its ability to indicate how a given technology has different meanings to different people at different times. In this chapter I claim that multistability should be subjected to its own principles, and hence it should acquire the plural form of multistabilities.

Reliability Evaluation of Multistate Systems with Multistate Components

IEEE Transactions on Reliability, 1985
This paper presents two efficient algorithms for reliability evaluation of monotone multistate systems with s-independent multistate components. The algorithms are based on the decomposition method of \textit{P. Doulliez} and \textit{J. Jamoulle} [RAIRO, Rech. Oper. 3, 45-60 (1972)].
