Distributed Shipborne HFHSSWR Localisation Method Based on Gaussian Markov Fields

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This paper investigates a distributed shipborne high‐frequency hybrid surface‐surface wave radar (HFHSSWR) model that combines shared sky wave paths with distinct shipboard surface wave paths. This model improves target localisation accuracy and overcoming the limited aperture of single shipboard array.

Integrated Self-Contained Trajectory Estimation and Multistatic SAR Imaging in a Non-Static Uncoupled Bistatic Radar Network

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Microwaves
Radar imaging performance can be significantly improved by creating synthetic apertures along a radar sensor's trajectory compared to standard MIMO imaging radars.

Target motion estimation via a multistatic FSR [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The focus of this paper is on the estimation of the kinematic parameters of moving targets via a MIMO Forward Scatter Radar (FSR) system. A sub-optimum estimation technique is considered that exploits the information concerning the time instants at ...

Multistatic Modular Real‐Time MIMO‐SONAR Systems

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
Multistatic SONAR networks (MSNs) improve underwater imaging quality due to increased degrees of freedom. Techniques for bistatic processing, elliptical interpolation and data merging are described, and a real‐time modular SONAR imaging system equipped with these algorithms is tested. Simulations and real‐world measurements demonstrate the capabilities

Synchronous Design and Test of Distributed Passive Radar Systems Based on Digital Broadcasting and Television

open access: yesLeida xuebao, 2017
Digital broadcasting and television are important classes of illuminators of opportunity for passive radars. Distributed and multistatic structure are the development trends for passive radars. Most modern digital broadcasting and television systems work

Gait Classification Based on Micro-Doppler Features [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This paper focuses on the classification of human gaits based on micro-Doppler signatures. The micro-Doppler signatures can represent detailed information about the human gaits, which helps in judging the threat of a personnel target. The proposed method

Tolerance Analysis and Robustness of Phase Conjugating Cross‐Eye Jamming

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This study explores phase‐conjugating (PC) arrays as a robust alternative to Van Atta (VA) arrays for cross‐eye jamming, a radar countermeasure in electronic warfare, developing an analytical framework validated by simulations. It demonstrates PC arrays' superior tolerance to phase errors and lower minimum JSR requirement against skin return.

A Phase Synchronization Method for Miniature Multistatic FMCW SAR

open access: yesLeida xuebao
The miniature multistatic Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) system uses a flexible configuration of transceiver division compared with the miniature monostatic SAR system, thereby affording the advantages of multi-angle imaging. As the transceiver-separated

SAR Signal Reconstruction from Non-Uniform Displaced Phase Centre Sampling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The displaced phase centre (DPC) technique will enable a wide swath SAR with high azimuth resolution. In a classic DPC system, the PRF has to be chosen such that the SAR carrier moves just one half of its antenna length between subsequent radar pulses ...
