High-resolution Side-view and Top-view Imaging Method of Ship Targets Using Multistatic ISAR [PDF]
How to obtain high-resolution images of ship targets is an active research area in radar field due to the complexity of the ship motion. At the same time, multi-platform based surveillance and combat mode is gaining more and more interests in recent ...

Joint processing of measurements in a rangefinder-doppler multistatic radar system
The article considers the option of organizing joint processing of radar information in a multistatic rangefinder - doppler radar system. The least-squares method is used to obtain analytical expressions for oblique ranges and radial velocities of ...

Frequency Selective Rasorber With Low Insertion Loss and Ultra‐Broadband Scattering Reduction
We present a dual‐polarization broadband frequency selective rasorber featuring a transmission window in the middle of its absorption band. The proposed FSR achieves a –10 dB reflection band over 3.68–16.94 GHz with a fractional bandwidth of 128.6%, featuring a minimum insertion loss of 0.3 dB at 10.3 GHz.

Modeling Regional Electric Field Using EISCAT3D Observations
Abstract EISCAT3D, which is in its final stage of construction, will be the next generation incoherent scatter radar (ISR) system to provide the full ion velocity vector across hundreds of kms in vertical and horizontal directions. This presents a tremendous opportunity to study the three‐dimensional nature of ionospheric electrodynamics.

Two‐Day Wave Modulation of Gravity Wave Momentum Fluxes Observed Over South America
Abstract Planetary wave (PW) modulation of gravity wave (GW) dissipation has long been proposed as a source of longitudinal variability in the mesosphere and lower thermosphere. However, direct measurements of GW drag are rare. We identify 2‐day wave variations in GW momentum fluxes measured by the Southern Argentina Agile Meteor Radar (SAAMER) in Rio ...

Abstract During the March equinox of 2023, a strong easterly wind of ∼80 m s−1 appeared at an altitude of ∼82 km in the equatorial upper mesosphere, which is regarded as an enhancement of the mesopause semi‐annual oscillation. In this study, a new reanalysis data available up to 110 km was used to investigate its momentum budget.

Abstract In response to the 2017 Decadal Survey, NASA conducted a five‐year study on the Surface Deformation and Change (SDC) designated observable to study potential mission concepts. As part of the SDC mission study, the Commercial Synthetic Aperture Radar (ComSAR) subgroup was tasked with evaluating the current landscape of the SAR and ...

A virtual array‐based method is proposed to jointly detect communication signals and estimate the starting position and cCFO. It constructs virtual arrays based on the linear phase characteristics of the training sequence regardless of the specific signal structure, which allows it a wide range of applications.

An ISAR target motion estimation algorithm based on a differential semblance criterion
This study presents a novel approach for improving rotational motion estimation in multistatic Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) imaging through a Differential Semblance Optimization (DSO) criterion. By reducing discrepancies across images from multiple transmitter–receiver pairs, our method enables precise yaw rotation estimation and produces ...
