Power and Waveform Resource Allocation Method of LPI Netted Radar for Target Search and Tracking

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
A new scenario is considered for the low probability of intercept (LPI) netted radar in simultaneous target search and tracking, and a joint power and waveform resource allocation algorithm is proposed through the optimization of the multi‐dimensional resources.

Over-The-Air Deramping For Multistatic Perimeter Surveillance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This paper explores the use of an over-the-air deramping (OTAD) system as a solution for perimeter surveillance. Over-the-air deramping is a technique for wirelessly synchronising distributed passive FMCW radar nodes to a dual-frequency master FMCW ...

A Networked Radar Beam Allocation Method for Multi‐Target Tracking in Multi‐Jammer Scenario

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This paper focuses on the problem of mainlobe interference suppression in radar networks tracking multi‐target scenarios with multiple jammers. A beam allocation method is proposed based on stepwise suppression of mainlobe and sidelobe interference since the beam allocation method has a significant impact on interference suppression performance ...

Distributed Shipborne HFHSSWR Localisation Method Based on Gaussian Markov Fields

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This paper investigates a distributed shipborne high‐frequency hybrid surface‐surface wave radar (HFHSSWR) model that combines shared sky wave paths with distinct shipboard surface wave paths. This model improves target localisation accuracy and overcoming the limited aperture of single shipboard array.

Accurate Phase Calibration of Multistatic Imaging System for Medical and Industrial Applications

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Multistatic imaging systems are commonly used in radar systems and microwave imaging. In these systems, many antennas are arranged three-dimensionally and connected to RF switches.

Target motion estimation via a multistatic FSR [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The focus of this paper is on the estimation of the kinematic parameters of moving targets via a MIMO Forward Scatter Radar (FSR) system. A sub-optimum estimation technique is considered that exploits the information concerning the time instants at ...

Multistatic Modular Real‐Time MIMO‐SONAR Systems

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
Multistatic SONAR networks (MSNs) improve underwater imaging quality due to increased degrees of freedom. Techniques for bistatic processing, elliptical interpolation and data merging are described, and a real‐time modular SONAR imaging system equipped with these algorithms is tested. Simulations and real‐world measurements demonstrate the capabilities

Detection of Flight Target via Multistatic Radar Based on Geosynchronous Orbit Satellite Irradiation

open access: yesRemote Sensing
As a special microwave detection system, multistatic radar has obvious advantages in covert operation, anti-jamming, and anti-stealth due to its configuration of spatial diversity. As a high-orbit irradiation source, a geosynchronous orbit satellite (GEO)

SAR Signal Reconstruction from Non-Uniform Displaced Phase Centre Sampling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The displaced phase centre (DPC) technique will enable a wide swath SAR with high azimuth resolution. In a classic DPC system, the PRF has to be chosen such that the SAR carrier moves just one half of its antenna length between subsequent radar pulses ...
