Order statistics diversity combining in worst case noise and multitone jamming

MILCOM 91 - Conference record, 2002
A previously known diversity combining method which uses order statistics (OS) has been investigated in both noise and multitone jamming. Based on the results of this investigation, a concatenation of order statistics and normalized envelope detection (NED) is proposed.

Error probabilities of an FFH/BFSK self-normalizing receiver in a Rician fading channel with multitone jamming

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2000
We derive the analytical bit-error rate (BER) expressions for a fast frequency-hopped binary frequency-shift keying self-normalizing receiver over a fading channel with the worst-case band multitone jamming (MTJ) and additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN).

Error probability for FH/MDPSK in multitone jamming, fast Rician fading, and Gaussian noise

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1995
A method is presented for the calculation of M-ary DPSK error probability in partial-band multitone jamming and white gaussian noise. Both unfaded and faded signals and jamming tones may be analyzed by the method. The fading considered is frequency-flat, time selective, Rician fading.

Performance of frequency hopped MSK signals in multitone jamming and additive white Gaussian noise

IEEE Conference on Military Communications, 2002
Because of advantageous spectral properties, coherent minimum shift keying (MSK) is attractive for electronic counter-counter measures (ECCM) systems where high data throughput is required. These high rate ECCM systems typically use frequency-hopped (FH) spread-spectrum techniques to enhance antijam capabilities. The performance of MSK signals combined

A moment method for the detection of synchronization probes in worst case noise and multitone jamming

MILCOM 91 - Conference record, 2002
A technique recently devised for diversity combining is used to detect the presence of a burst of continuous wave (CW) synchronization probes in a fast frequency-hopped communication system. Often noise samples from unused channels are used to generate interference statistics to ensure a low false alarm rate.

Performance analsis of hybrid DS-SFH/MSK spread-spectrum system under multitone jamming

MILCOM 1999. IEEE Military Communications. Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.99CH36341), 2003
This paper studies the performance of a hybrid DS-SFH signal in the presence of partial band multitone jamming and AWGN. MSK is employed as FH spread spectrum modulation. The DS spread signal bandwidth is equal to the FH slot spacing. An equation for the BER is developed. Performance is evaluated, assuming a worst case jammer strategy.

Hybrid spread spectrum signal acquisition in the presence of worst case multitone jamming

MILCOM 97 MILCOM 97 Proceedings, 2002
The acquisition performance of a hybrid slow frequency hopped direct sequence spread spectrum (SFH/DS SS) communication link in the presence of multitone jamming is analysed. Equations are derived to enable analysis of the optimisation of the jamming strategy. It is shown that the jamming strategy may be optimised by varying the number of tones.

Performance analysis of FH/DPSK in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and multitone jamming

MILCOM 88, 21st Century Military Communications - What's Possible?'. Conference record. Military Communications Conference, 2003
The author analyzes the bit error rate (BER) performance of frequency-hopping differential phase-shift keying (DPSK) in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and multitone jamming. It is shown that the exact BER is given by a compact expression in terms of Marcum's Q-function.
