Critical multitype branching processes with infinite variance
The exponential limit law for the critical multitype Bienayme-Galton-Watson process is extended to a class of offspring distributions some or all of whose second moments are infinite. Several asymptotic consequences pertaining to transition probabilities

On multitype branching processes in a random environment
This paper is concerned with the growth of multitype branching processes in a random environment (mbpre). It is shown that, under suitable regularity conditions, the process either explodes of becomes extinct. A classification theorem is given delineating the cases of explosion or extinction.

Branching Processes: Optimization, Variational Characterization, and Continuous Approximation
In this thesis, we use multitype Galton-Watson branching processes in random environments as individual-based models for the evolution of structured populations with both demographic stochasticity and environmental stochasticity, and investigate the ...

Branching Processes with Immigration and Integer-valued Time Series [PDF]
In this paper, we indicate how integer-valued autoregressive time series Ginar(d) of ordre d, d ≥ 1, are simple functionals of multitype branching processes with immigration.

MODELLING A MULTITYPE BRANCHING BROWNIAN MOTION: FILTERING OF A MEASURE-VALUED PROCESS
In the framework of marked trees, a multitype branching brownian motion, described by measure-valued processes, is studied. By applying the strong branching property, the Markov property and the expression of the generator are derived for the process ...

Estimation of Discrete Partially Directed Acyclic Graphical Models in Multitype Branching Processes
International audienceWe address the inference of discrete-state models for tree-structured data. Our aim is to introduce parametric multitype branching processes that can be efficiently estimated on the basis of data of limited size.

Multitype population size-dependent branching processes with dependent offspring
In this paper, the multitype population size-dependent branching process with dependent offspring is introduced and the probability of extinction of such a process is investigated. Sufficient conditions for both almost sure extinction and survival of the
