Rate Region Combining in Multiuser MIMO
2006 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2006The concept of "information combing" is extended to multiple access schemes, where the receiver is equipped with multiple receive antennas. In particular, the connection of the respective rate region to that of the scalar MACs, which are present if the receive antennas are treated separately, is derived.

Code Design for Multiuser MIMO
2018Multiuser multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) is a crucial technique to increase the channel capacity and improve communication qualities in the fifth‐generation (5G) wireless communication systems. This chapter considers the code design for multiuser MIMO system.

Cooperative transmission for multiuser MIMO systems
2008 IEEE 16th Signal Processing, Communication and Applications Conference, 2008In this work, we investigate the problem of jointly determining the optimal transmission scheme at the base stations in a cooperative multiuser multiple antenna system. In this optimization problem, different than majority of other works in the literature, we consider the case where there are individual performance targets for the users and per antenna

Downlink Multiuser MIMO-OFDM Systems
2012Multiple input multiple output (MIMO) techniques for wireless communication systems have attracted in the last years huge research activity due to the possibility of improving the link performance by increasing the channel capacity and decreasing the bit-error rate (BER).

Opportunistic multiuser MIMO for OFDM networks
2011 8th International Workshop on Multi-Carrier Systems & Solutions, 2011This paper considers the application of opportunistic multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) techniques to multicarrier wireless networks based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). Unlike related work where the design of the MU-MIMO component is jointly performed with the subcarrier allocation among the users (e.g.

Capacity Balancing for Multiuser MIMO Systems
2007 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing - ICASSP '07, 2007This paper investigates the problem of transceiver design with individual rate constraints for multiuser MIMO systems. We focus on linear processing with two design goals: one is to maximize the minimum rate per user under a total power constraint, and the other is to minimize the total transmit power while maintaining certain rate requirements.

5G Enabling Technologies - MIMO, Multiuser MIMO, and Massive MIMO Slides
2017In this webinar, the fundamentals underlying the MIMO concept are explained. It will be shown how multiple reflections in indoor and urban environments can be effectively used to create additional independent channels that can serve the purposes of diversity and/or spatial multiplexing.

Multiuser MIMO Cognitive Radio Systems
2018Multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) cognitive radio (CR) systems can achieve higher spectral efficiency by multiplexing multiple users on the same time-frequency resources and allowing concurrent spectrum sharing instead of opportunistic sharing.
