Spatial Modulation Concept for Massive Multiuser MIMO Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2014
This paper presents the concept of spatial modulation (SM) scheme for massive multiuser MIMO (MU-MIMO) system. We consider a MU-MIMO system where K users, each equipped with multiple antennas, are jointly serviced by a multiantenna base station ...

MU-MIMO in LTE Systems

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2011
A relatively recent idea of extending the benefits of MIMO systems to multiuser scenarios seems promising in the context of achieving high data rates envisioned for future cellular standards after 3G (3rd Generation).

Physical layer security in satellite communication: State‐of‐the‐art and open problems

open access: yesIET Communications, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This paper first classifies contemporary satellite communication networks into five domains and then analyse the use of PLS in each domain; these domains are hybrid satellite‐terrestrial networks, satellite‐based IoT, navigation satellite systems, FSO‐based satellites, and inter‐satellite communications.

NOMA in multiuser MIMO systems with imperfect CSI

open access: yes2017 IEEE 18th International Workshop on Signal Processing Advances in Wireless Communications (SPAWC), 2017
This paper considers the use of NOMA in multiuser MIMO systems in practical scenarios where CSI is acquired through pilot signaling. A new NOMA scheme that uses shared pilots is proposed. Achievable rate analysis is carried out for a pilot signaling scheme including both uplink and downlink pilots.

Asymptotic Analysis in MIMO MRT/MRC Systems

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2006
Through the analysis of the probability density function of the squared largest singular value of a complex Gaussian matrix at the origin and tail, we obtain two asymptotic results related to the multi-input multi-output (MIMO) maximum-ratio ...

Hypergraph Modeling and Approximation Algorithms for the Minimum Length Link Scheduling in Multiuser MIMO Networks

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
This paper investigates the problem of the minimum length link scheduling (MLLS) in multiuser MIMO (MU-MIMO) networks. Generally, in the networks with MU-MIMO capability, the number of concurrent transmissions can be as large as that of antenna elements ...
