Densely Defined Selections of Multivalued Mappings [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1994
Summary: Rather general sufficient conditions are found for a given multivalued mapping \(F : X \to Y\) to possess an upper semicontinuous and compact-valued selection \(G\) which is defined on a dense \(G_\delta\)-subset of the domain of \(F\). The case when the selection \(G\) is single-valued (and continuous) is also investigated.

Spatial Modeling of Flood Hazard in Addis Ababa Using Geographic Information System (GIS) and Information Gain Ratio (IGR) Method

open access: yesJournal of Flood Risk Management, Volume 18, Issue 4, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Floods are one of nature's most disturbing catastrophes, resulting in infrastructure damage, property devastation, and mortality. In Addis Ababa, flooding has significantly impacted residents and caused millions' worth of property damage in the last decade alone. It is continuously threatening and affecting city residents.

Iterative Algorithms for General Multivalued Variational Inequalities

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
We introduce and study some new classes of variational inequalities and the Wiener-Hopf equations. Using essentially the projection technique, we establish the equivalence between these problems.

A distributional approach to the geometry of dislocations at the mesoscale [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We develop a theory to represent dislocated single crystals at the mesoscopic scale by considering concentrated effects, governed by the distribution theory combined with multiple-valued kinematic fields.

Representing maps for semibounded forms and their Lebesgue‐type decompositions

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 112, Issue 6, December 2025.
Abstract In the Lebesgue decomposition of a lower semibounded sesquilinear form, the corresponding regular and singular parts are mutually singular. The more general Lebesgue‐type decompositions studied here allow components that need not be mutually singular anymore.

Quadruple Fixed Point of Multivalued Nonlinear Contraction Mappings

open access: yesInternational Journal of Analysis and Applications, 2013
The notion of Quadruple fixed point is introduced by Karapinar E. [6]. Samet and Vetro [12] established some coupled fixed point theorems for multivalued non linear contraction mapping in partially ordered metric spaces.

Delayed High Order Sliding Mode Control Using Implicit Lyapunov Function Approach

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, Volume 35, Issue 17, Page 7282-7294, 25 November 2025.
ABSTRACT This article presents a novel delayed high‐order sliding mode control strategy supported by dedicated mathematical tools. Building on the implicit Lyapunov–Razumikhin function method for establishing accelerated (hyperexponential) stability in time‐delay systems and the design of high‐order sliding mode controls for chain of integrators, we ...

Exploring Double NDR Modulation and UV‐NIR Photodetection in MoS2/Sb2Se3 Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 32, November 14, 2025.
In this study, a van der Waals Sb2Se3/MoS2 heterostructure exhibits dual negative differential resistance (NDR) peaks at room temperature. The first originates from band‐to‐band tunneling, while the second, triggered under laser illumination, is attributed to trap states and recombination dynamics.

Multivalued Nonexpansive Mappings and Opial's Condition [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1973
We give relations between a condition introduced by Z. Opial which characterizes weak limits by means of the norm in some Banach spaces and approximations of the identity, in particular for systems of projections. Finally a fixed point theorem for multivalued nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space satisfying this condition is proved; this result ...
