Robust Adaptive Actuator Failure Compensation of MIMO Systems with Unknown State Delays

open access: yesIranian Journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2017
In this paper, a robust adaptive actuator failure compensation control scheme is proposed for a class of multi input multi output linear systems with unknown time-varying state delay and in the presence of unknown actuator failures and external ...

Elevated Risk of Complications in Patients Receiving Dual Antithrombotic Therapy Undergoing Hepatectomy: A Single‐Center Audit of 749 Cases

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
This single‐center retrospective study evaluated perioperative outcomes after hepatectomy in 749 patients, including 140 receiving ATT, using propensity score matching to compare ATT and non‐ATT cohorts. Under standardized perioperative management, ATT did not increase major bleeding, transfusion, or severe morbidity overall; however, within the ATT ...

Impact of Abdominoperineal Resection on Postoperative Male Sexual Function After Minimally Invasive Rectal Cancer Surgery: A Subgroup Analysis From the LANDMARC Study

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
Abdominoperineal resection (APR) after minimally invasive rectal cancer surgery was associated with significantly higher rates of erectile and early ejaculatory dysfunction compared with anal‐sparing surgery. Although ejaculatory function showed partial recovery over time, erectile dysfunction persisted up to 12 months postoperatively.

An application of eigenspace methods to symmetric flutter suppression [PDF]

open access: yes
An eigenspace assignment approach to the design of parameter insensitive control laws for linear multivariable systems is presented. The control design scheme utilizes flexibility in eigenvector assignments to reduce control system sensitivity to changes

A Machine Learning Perspective on the Brønsted–Evans–Polanyi Relation in Water‐Gas Shift Catalysis on MXenes

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Machine learning predicts activation energies for key steps in the water‐gas shift reaction on 92 MXenes. Random Forest is identified as the most accurate model. Reaction energy and reactant LogP emerge as key descriptors. The approach provides a predictive framework for catalyst design, grounded in density functional theory data and validated through ...

The reduced order model problem in distributed parameter systems adaptive identification and control [PDF]

open access: yes
The basic assumption that a large space structure can be decoupled preceding the application of reduced order active control was considered and alternative solutions to the control of such structures (in contrast to the strict modal control) were ...

Artificial Intelligence for Bone: Theory, Methods, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) offer the potential to improve bone research. The current review explores the contributions of AI to pathological study, biomarker discovery, drug design, and clinical diagnosis and prognosis of bone diseases. We envision that AI‐driven methodologies will enable identifying novel targets for drugs discovery. The
