Trends in marine species distribution models: a review of methodological advances and future challenges

open access: yesEcography, EarlyView.
Correlative species distribution models (SDMs) are quantitative tools in biogeography and macroecology. Building upon the ecological niche concept, they correlate environmental covariates to species presence to model habitat suitability and predict species distributions.

Multi‐Objective Optimization of Phase Change Coupled Thermal Management System Based on NSWOA

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
NSWOA‐optimized liquid‐PCM hybrid cooling reduces 18 650 pack Tmax by 5.9 K and ΔT to 4.7 K at 4 °C discharge, validated within 1.5 K error; non‐uniform cell placement and key PCM properties are balanced for safety. This study investigates phase change materials (PCMs) for lithium battery thermal management.

The role of cardiac acoustic biomarkers in monitoring patients with heart failure: A systematic literature review

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 980-997, April 2025.
Abstract Heart failure (HF) creates a considerable clinical, humanistic and economic burden on patients and caregivers as well as on healthcare systems. To attenuate the significant burden of HF, there is a need for enhanced management of patients with HF.

Role of NPPB for recovery post ventricular assist device in paediatric dilated cardiomyopathy: Single‐cell multiomics

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, EarlyView.
This study investigated factors associated with left ventricular recovery after LVAD implantation in paediatric dilated cardiomyopathy. Patients were classified into recovery and non‐recovery groups. Single‐nucleus sequencing revealed higher NPPB expression and altered apoptosis‐related pathways in the recovery group.
