High-Dimensional Multivariate Probit Analysis

Biometrics, 1996
A computationally practical form of probit analysis for multiple response variables based on an assumed common factor model for the latent tolerances is proposed. Numerical integration over the factor space provides maximum likelihood estimation of the probit regression parameters and of the probabilities of response combinations under the model.

A Multivariate Generalization of Probit Analysis

Biometrics, 1981
A generalized form of probit analysis is applied to the problem of the inference of the value of all unobservable continuous variable from quantal variables. The observational units are assumed to belong to known groups that are homogeneous with respect to the value of the continuous variable, and responses within and between units in the same group ...

Alternative Specifications of Multivariate Multilevel Probit Ordinal Response Models

Journal of Educational and Behavioral Statistics, 2003
Multivariate multilevel models for ordinal variables are quite complex with respect to both interpretation and estimation. The specification in terms of a multivariate latent distribution and a set of thresholds helps in the interpretation of the variance-covariance parameters.
