Iodide sialadenitis is a rare, delayed idiosyncratic reaction to iodine-containing contrast media. We present non-contrast computed tomography images of this benign but dramatic adverse reaction occurring in the submandibular glands.

The review by Silver and Todd (Pediatrics 58:67, July 1976) clearly enumerates several clinical conditions which are associated with abnormally low concentrations of glucose in the CSF. Mumps meningoencephalitis is mentioned, and studies by Wilfert1 and Azini et al.2 are cited as documentation of the occurrence of hypoglycorrhachia in this disease.

Abstract This chapter reviews the major neurologic manifestations associated with mumps and rubella infection. Both mumps and rubella demonstrate neurotropism and are associated with multiple central nervous system infectious as well as parainfectious syndromes.
