Methodical notes on the use of cosmic muons in radiography

Bulletin of the Lebedev Physics Institute, 2015
The algorithm for estimating muon fluxes after passing through extended objects is described. Based on this algorithm, the distributions of muon characteristics for iron and soil of various thicknesses are obtained. The data obtained are compared with simulation results using the GEANT4 package.

Test Experiments on muon radiography with emulsion track detectors in Russia

Physics of Particles and Nuclei Letters, 2015
In Russia, the Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics of Moscow State University are starting a series of pilot muon radiography exper-iments with nuclear emulsion detectors to study the interior structure of large-scale natural and industrial objects.
