LRP4+ Astrocytes: A Unique Subpopulation Crucial for Blood Vessel Maintenance and Function in the Somatosensory Cortex of Normal and 5xFAD Mice

open access: yesGlia, Volume 74, Issue 2, February 2026.
Lrp4+ astrocytes, uniquely vessel‐associated and GFAP−, are enriched in the pia. They support laminin‐α5+ basement membrane assembly and regulate vessel diameter and blood flow. They are reduced in 5xFAD brains, and their ablation worsens both vascular and Aβ pathology.

Advances in the Role of Adipose Tissue in Promoting Injury Repair and Resist Infection

open access: yesImmunity, Inflammation and Disease, Volume 14, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background In recent years, adipose tissue (AT) transplantation has increasingly been noticed by many people in the field of tissue repair and regeneration. Accumulating evidence demonstrates that AT exerts dual functions in promoting tissue repair and conferring anti‐infective properties, with distinct biological effects attributed to its ...

Abstract Pneumatosis cystoides coli (PCC) describes gas‐filled cysts within the wall of the gastrointestinal tract and is uncommon in children. We report a 7‐year‐old female with a history of recurrent ileocolic intussusception secondary to PCC. Her initial episodes of intussusception resolved spontaneously or with air enema, but no lead point was ...

Muscular and serosal eosinophilic gastritis and enteritis with eosinophilic ascites successfully treated with dupilumab

open access: yesJPGN Reports, Volume 7, Issue 1, Page 132-136, February 2026.
Abstract Primary eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders beyond the esophagus (EGIDs) are rare, predominantly Th2‐mediated inflammatory conditions, affecting various segments of the gastrointestinal tract. We report the case of a 12‐year‐old boy with recurrent abdominal pain, peripheral eosinophilia, and progressive gastritis, duodenitis, and enteritis
