The complete mitochondrial genome of Ceratostoma inornata (Récluz, 1851)

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2019
The complete mitochondrial (mt) genome of Ceratostoma inornata was determined using genome walking techniques in this study. The total length of the mt genome sequence of C. inornata was 15,317 bp, including 13 protein-coding genes, 21 transfer RNA genes,

The complete mitochondrial genome of Chicoreus asianus (Neogastropoda: Muricidae) from Beibu Bay

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2020
Chicoreus asianus is an ecologically and economically important species of Muricidae, which comprises a highly diverse group of carnivorous marine snails. However, the taxonomic classification and phylogenetic studies have so far been limited.

Indole Derivatives from the Egg Masses of Muricid Molluscs

open access: yesMolecules, 2001
A range of brominated indole derivatives were found in the egg masses of six species of muricid molluscs. Several non-brominated indoles were also present in the eggs of two Mediterranean Muricidae, although these were not found in the Australian species.

Relative predation intensity of an intertidal gastropod on artificial coastal defense structures. [PDF]

open access: yesEcol Evol
In this study, we investigated whether predators affect the density of a common marine gastropod (Nerita undata) on tropical seawalls using a tethering method that we developed. Field experiments revealed high predation intensity, with a significantly higher predation risk at lower shore heights and for snails with mixed shell coloration.
