An 18‐year‐old girl who didn't have any pets but was infested with fleas from a pet‐owning neighbour. Flea‐bite dermatitis caused severe pruritus, urticarial and papulomatous lesions on the neck and arm. Fleas were removed and identified as Ctenocephalides felis, the cat flea.

Murine typhus, a fleaborne bacterial disease caused by Rickettsia typhi, has reemerged and spread in the United States. We tested spinosad, an oral flea preventive, in opossum flea reservoirs. Spinosad killed 98% of fleas infesting opossums.

Our review introduces treatment strategies for short‐term, long‐term, and permanent CVT risk factors, focusing on anticoagulant selection and treatment duration. We also discuss the current status of endovascular therapy for CVT, noting that it remains a challenge due to limited evidence, and more research is needed to optimize this approach.
