Recurrent Hypothermia and Autonomic Dysfunction Secondary to Shapiro Syndrome
Annals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.ABSTRACT A 44‐year‐old man presented with recurrent hypothermia, diaphoresis and hypertension. Extensive investigation for infectious, inflammatory, metabolic and endocrine aetiologies was negative. MR scan of the brain demonstrated no lesions but revealed callosal dysgenesis, consistent with Shapiro syndrome.

Clinicopathological study of smooth muscle neoplasms of intestine.
The Japanese Journal of Gastroenterological Surgery, 1991 過去20年間に経験した腸管平滑筋腫瘍21例 (平滑筋腫 (以下筋腫) 10例, 平滑筋肉腫 (以下肉腫) 11例) について臨床病理学的検討を加えた.初発症状では筋腫, 肉腫ともに消化管出血を過半数に認め, 原因不明の消化管出血を認めた場合, 腸管平滑筋腫瘍も疑い, 検索すべきである.肉腫の転移, 再発形式では, 腹膜播種4例, 肝転移3例, 肺転移1例, リンパ節転移1例を認めたが, リンパ節転移は病期が進行してから出現した.最大径が5cm未満では筋腫8例, 肉腫2例に対し, 5cm以上では筋腫2例, 肉腫9例で, さらに, 最大径が5cm以上の肉腫では死亡率も高く, 腫瘍径が大きいほど悪性の頻度が増した.mitotic indexが3未満では全例生存し, 3以上では全例死亡し, mitotic ...
