Advancing Human Skin Equivalents: The Crucial Role of Neurovascular Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review discusses the importance of integrating vascular and peripheral nerve systems into human skin equivalents (HSEs) to better recapitulate native skin physiology. Recent advances in vascularized, innervated, and neurovascularized HSEs are highlighted, together with emerging bioengineering strategies, current challenges, and future ...

Increasing Anaerobic Endurance Using Strength Endurance Training and Continuous Running on Muscular Endurance

open access: yesJurnal Moderasi Olahraga
The aim of this study was to determine whether continuous running training, power endurance, and muscle endurance affect the increase in anaerobic endurance. This research method uses an experimental design. The sample used in this study were SSB Darma Sakti football athletes, Kuningan Regency, with a total of 16 people aged 17 years, taken using a non-

GDNF‐Enriched Small Extracellular Vesicle‐Loaded ROS‐Scavenging Hydrogel Promotes Neural Regeneration After Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A glial cell line‐derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF)‐enriched small extracellular vesicle‐loaded reactive oxygen species (ROS)‐scavenging hydrogel integrates sustained neurotrophic delivery with local modulation of oxidative and inflammatory stress after spinal cord injury. The composite hydrogel improves local vesicle retention, protects neural tissue,

Macrophage–Fibroblast Crosstalk Governs Tumor Mechanics, as Revealed by Spatiotemporal Force Mapping in 3D Spheroids

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows crosstalk among tumor cells, fibroblasts, and macrophages alters the physical forces inside 3D tumor spheroids. Incorporating deformable microparticles in 3D tumor spheroids, the researchers mapped mechanical stresses spatially and with respect to tumor growth (temporally).

Topically Delivered Treg‐Attracting Microparticle‐Hydrogel Composites Recruit Regulatory T Cells and Limit Cardiac Injury After Severe Ischemia

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
CCL22‐releasing PLGA microparticles (MP) suspended in topically applied hydrogels (HEART) establish a sustained chemokine gradient at the injured myocardium. HEART recruits CCR4+ regulatory T cells, reduces infarct size and graft fibrosis, and improves cardiac function.
