This study develops itaconate‐based polymer microparticles (IA‐MPs) for macrophage‐targeted intracellular delivery, overcoming the limitations of traditional itaconate administration. IA‐MPs achieve controlled release through phagocytosis, reducing pro‐inflammatory cytokine expression and reprogramming macrophage metabolism toward glycolysis.

Process and Analysis of Kidney Infiltrates by Flow Cytometry from Murine Lupus Nephritis
Methods for the isolation and characterization of mononuclear phagocytes from the kidneys of mice with SLE are essential to understand the patho-physiology of the disease. Activation of these cells is associated with the onset of clinical disease in mice

Omentin: a biomarker of cardiovascular risk in individuals with axial spondyloarthritis
Cardiovascular (CV) disease is the main cause of mortality in axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA). CV risk is enhanced by dysregulation of adipokines. Low omentin levels were associated with metabolic dysfunction and CV disease in conditions different from ...

Hydroxyapatite Binding Peptide Lipid Nanoparticles for Biomimetic mRNA Delivery to Bone
Targeted delivery of therapeutic mRNA to peripheral tissues, including bone, is currently challenging. In the current work, a hydroxyapatite binding peptide (HABP) is conjugated to mRNA lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). HABP‐LNPs delivered systemically are demonstrated to reduce transfection in the liver and improve transfection in the femurs of mice ...

Targeted Delivery for Musculoskeletal Diseases [PDF]
The musculoskeletal system is composed of bone, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. As an essential component of the human anatomy, it serves as the mechanical support for the body and protects vital organs and bone marrow. It also serves as a reserve of ions, especially calcium and phosphate, for the maintenance of serum homeostasis.
