Pixelation‐Free, Monolithic Iontronic Pressure Sensors Enabling Large‐Area Simultaneous Pressure and Position Recognition via Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A pixelation‐free, monolithic iontronic pressure sensor enables simultaneous pressure and position sensing over large areas. AC‐driven ion release generates spatially varying impedance pathways depending on the pressure. Machine learning algorithms effectively decouple overlapping pressure–position signals from the multichannel outputs, achieving high ...

Multimodal Datasets for Studying Expert Performances of Musical Scores

open access: yesTransactions of the International Society for Music Information Retrieval
In many musical styles, performing a piece of music means to produce an ‘interpretation’ of a score. This interpretation involves performers manipulating musical parameters such as timing, dynamics, timbre, and pitch to communicate their artistic ...

A Neurophysiological Study of Musical Pitch Identification in Mandarin-Speaking Cochlear Implant Users

open access: yesNeural Plasticity, 2020
Music perception in cochlear implant (CI) users is far from satisfactory, not only because of the technological limitations of current CI devices but also due to the neurophysiological alterations that generally accompany deafness.

Collaborative music interaction on tabletops: an HCI approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
With the advent of tabletop interaction, collaborative activities are better supported than they are on single-user PCs because there exists a physical shareable space, and interaction with digital data is more embodied and social.

Beat histogram features from NMF-based novelty functions for music classification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper we present novel rhythm features derived from drum tracks extracted from polyphonic music and evaluate them in a genre classification task. Musical excerpts are analyzed using an optimized, partially fixed Non-Negative Matrix Factorization (

Biomaterials‐Based Hydrogel with Superior Bio‐Mimetic Ionic Conductivity and Tissue‐Matching Softness for Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
By mimicking the ion‐accelerating effect of ion channel receptors in neuron membranes, a biomaterials‐based ionic hydrogel (BIH) is developed, which offers a high ionic conductivity of 7.04 S m−1, outperforming conventional chitosan, cellulose, agarose, starch, and gelatin based ionic hydrogels.

Large‐Area 2D Metasurface‐Based Triboelectric E‐Skin Arrays: Contact & Proximity Tactile Mapping with Broadband Acoustic Readouts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metasurface‐engineered NC‐TENG arrays integrate tactile pressure mapping, non‐contact gesture sensing, and acoustic signal readouts in one ultrathin module, and outperforms pristine PDMS in terms of electrical output and real‐time spatial mapping for next‐gen wearables.
