Sparse Reconstruction-based Direction of Arrival Estimation for MIMO Radar in the Presence of Unknown Mutual Coupling

open access: yesLeida xuebao
To improve the accuracy of Direction Of Arrival (DOA) estimation in Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) radar systems under unknown mutual coupling, we propose a mutual coupling calibration and DOA estimation algorithm based on Sparse Learning via ...

A Low Correlation and Mutual Coupling MIMO Antenna

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
A new two-element multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna with low correlation and high port isolation is presented. First, two hybrid electromagnetic band gap (EBG) structures with the ability to support and stop surface wave propagation ...

A Termite‐Inspired Alternative to Cement

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A termite‐inspired composite of clay, cellulose, and lignin forms a dense fibrous network with concrete‐like strength (32 MPa) and superior elasticity, processed at ambient temperature. Abstract Clay combined with organic materials is used by termites as a strong and durable construction material for their mounds with minimal environmental impact. Here,

Mutual Coupling Reduction for Ultra-Dense Multi-Band Plasmonic Nano-Antenna Arrays Using Graphene-Based Frequency Selective Surface

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Terahertz (THz) band provides huge bandwidth but the molecular absorptions in these frequencies cause high path losses in long-distance communications.

Exploiting Two‐Photon Lithography, Deposition, and Processing to Realize Complex 3D Magnetic Nanostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Two‐photon lithography (TPL) enables 3D magnetic nanostructures with unmatched freedom in geometry and material choice. Advances in voxel control, deposition, and functionalization open pathways to artificial spin ices, racetracks, microrobots, and a number of additional technological applications.

An External Calibration Method for Compensating for the Mutual Coupling Effect in Large Interferometric Aperture Synthesis Radiometers

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2011
This paper deals with the antenna mutual coupling effect in interferometric aperture synthesis radiometers (IASRs), which degrades the system radiometric performance.

Magnetic and Structural Response Tuned by Coexisting Mn Concentration‐Dependent Phases in MnBi2Te4 Thin Film Grown on GaAs(001) by Molecular Beam Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study explores structural and magnetic properties of one of the most recent topological quantum materials (MnBi2Te4). The Mn‐poor structure leads to stacking faults (quintuple layer ‐ QL of Bi2Te3 formation instead of a septuple layer ‐ SL of MnBi2Te4), resulting in a coexistence between weak antiferromagnetism and ferromagnetism.
