Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

Decoupling of Multifrequency Dipole Antenna Arrays for Microwave Imaging Applications
The mutual coupling between elements of a multifrequency dipole antenna array is experimentally investigated by S-parameter measurements and planar near-field scanning of the radiated field. A multifrequency array with six dipoles is analyzed.

Hamiltonian Coupling of Electromagnetic Field and Matter
Reversible part of evolution equations of physical systems is often generated by a Poisson bracket. We discuss geometric means of construction of Poisson brackets and their mutual coupling (direct, semidirect and matched-pair products) as well as ...

Design of chipless UWB RFID system using A CPW multi-resonator [PDF]
In this paper, the design of a novel chipless ultra-wideband radio-frequency identification (UWB RFID) system is proposed. The system employs printable uniplanar chipless tags and a pair of high-gain reader antennas.

Reduction of mutual coupling between closely spaced PIFAs
A new approach for reducing mutual coupling between planar inverted-F antennas (PIFAs) is proposed. The approach consists of placing a resonator in between the PIFAs. The signal from the first antenna is scattered by the resonator and couples to the second antenna creating another path for mutual coupling, the phase and amplitude of which may be varied

Measurement reduction for mutual coupling calibration in DOA estimation [PDF]
Mutual coupling is an important source of error in antenna arrays that should be compensated for super resolution direction‐of‐arrival (DOA) algorithms, such as Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC) algorithm. A crucial step in array calibration is the determination of the mutual coupling coefficients for the antenna array.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

The advancement of unmanned platforms is driving the miniaturization and cost reduction of the multi-beam echosounder (MBES). In the process of MBES array calibration, the mutual coupling significantly impacts the performance of parameter estimation.

Stochastic framework for evaluating the effect of displaced antenna elements on DOA estimation [PDF]
We establish a statistical framework for investigating the influence of correlated random displacements of antenna elements in a uniform circular antenna array (UCA) on the distribution of direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimates. More specifically, we apply
