Metasurfaces and other structured photonic environments can dramatically modify the absorption and/or light emission of semiconductors. However, the consequences of these changes on the temperature of the system are not well understood. The authors address this problem for colloidal nanocrystals and leverage their findings to convert light into ...

A note on global properties for a stage structured predator–prey model with mutual interference
The global stability for a stage structured predator–prey model with mutual interference is investigated. By using the method of Lyapunov functionals, it is shown that the system has a unique interior equilibrium, which is always globally asymptotically ...

Ergodic mutual information of fullduplex MIMO radios with residual self-interference [PDF]
—We study the theoretical performance of a full-duplex multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) bi-directional communication system. We focus on the effect of the residual self-interference due to channel estimation errors and transmitter impairments.

We measure the cell‐specific responses of administering infusible ECM (iECM) in acute myocardial infarction (MI) across multiple timepoints. Using single‐nucleus RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, we measure macrophage activation, fibroblast remodeling, increased vascular development, lymphangiogenesis, cardioprotection, and neurogenesis ...

A delayed impulsive food chain system with prey refuge and mutual inference of predator
In this paper, a three-species delayed food chain system with mutual interference and impulses is established. By utilizing the continuation theorem, the comparison theorem, some analysis techniques, and constructing a suitable Lyapunov functional, some ...

Resolving the Structural Duality of Graphene Grain Boundaries
Cantilever ncAFM resolves the atomic structure of grain boundaries in graphene, revealing coexisting stable and metastable types. Both contain pentagon/heptagon defects, but metastable GBs show irregular geometries. Modeling shows metastable GBs form under compression, exhibiting vertical corrugation, while stable GBs are flat.
