Transducers Across Scales and Frequencies: A System‐Level Framework for Multiphysics Integration and Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

MUTUAL INTERFERENCE OF THE OSCILLATING TWO CYLINDERS IN WIND

open access: yes, 1966
The effects of mutual interference of two square cylinders in wind tunnel are described. Thetests are made by putting a square cylinder near another oscillating cylinder in wind.

Measurement of Mutual Interference Sound of Columnar Objects in Air Flow

open access: yes, 2018
When a columnar object is put in a flow, Karman vortex is formed, and aerodynamic noise is generated. It is known that when multiple columnar objects are put in a flow, the flow state becomes complex.

Benchmarking Coaxial and Angular Optical Emission Spectroscopy With Recommendations for Reliable Compositional In Situ Monitoring During Laser Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Real‐time insight into local chemistry is critical for reliable part quality in additive manufacturing, especially laser powder bed fusion (PBF‑LB/M), where rapid thermal cycles and localized evaporation can undermine part performance. Optical emission spectroscopy (OES) offers non‑intrusive, in situ plume monitoring, but detection geometry ...

Tunable Extraordinary Optical Transmission in the Long‐Wavelength Infrared Range Using Electrostatic MEMS Actuation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A MEMS‐integrated metamaterial filter enables continuous, low‐voltage spectral tuning in the long‐wavelength infrared (LWIR). The device employs extraordinary optical transmission in a dual suspended metasurface stack, where electrostatic actuation precisely controls the intermembrane air gap.

Capacitors Mutual Inductance Modeling and Reduction

open access: yes
In this paper modeling of EMI filter capacitors and modeling of mutual couplings between them is presented. The modeling has been done using 3D electromagnetic software CST MWS. Three capacitor models have been proposed and verified experimentally.
