Indirect Mutual Interference in Parasitoids

Netherlands Journal of Zoology, 1990
Mutual interference, i. e. any kind of interaction between predators or parasitoids reducing searching efficiency, is potentially able to stabilize the dynamics of predator-prey or parasite-host systems. It is often considered to be the result of direct behavioural interaction between adults in which search time is wasted.

Mutual Interference of Water Wells

Journal of the Hydraulics Division, 1967
A general equation is developed which describes the relationship between the drawdown of any one well in an array which is pumping at a decreasing rate, the duration of pumping, the distance from the well to the other wells, and the aquifer characteristics for infinite, homogeneous, confined aquifer.

Mutual interference between independent bluetooth piconets

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2003
The Bluetooth wireless communication technology provides wireless solutions applicable for a number of communications needs. In addition, multiple independent piconets are possible and likely to occur within the same location, either intentionally or by chance.

On the Generation of Mutual Interference Matrices

IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 1964
This paper is concerned with the presentation of an algorithm for the construction and display of a mutual interference chart of any size from a list of interference lines belonging to any paired transmitter and receiver. Such charts have found use in procedures for assignment of noninterfering frequencies in a communication network.

Slow-Time Coding for Mutual Interference Mitigation

2018 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2018
The mutual interference between similar radar systems can result in reduced radar sensitivity and increased false alarm rates. To address the interference mitigation problems in similar radar systems, we propose herein two slow-time coding schemes to modulate the pulses within a coherent processing interval (CPI).

Complement and platelets: Mutual interference in the immune network

Molecular Immunology, 2015
In recent years, the view of platelets has changed from mere elements of hemostasis to immunological multitaskers. They are connected in manifold ways to other cellular and humoral components of the immune network, one of which is the complement system, a potent player in soluble innate immunity.

Interference mitigation utilizing antenna mutual coupling

2015 49th Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2015
In this paper, we show interference can be removed almost perfectly under some conditions in multi-user MIMO if antenna mutual coupling is properly utilized. We analyze the capacity region of a Gaussian multiple access channel (MAC), where each transmitter has a single antenna and the receiver can measure the electric field in a given spherical volume ...

Mutual interference of IMT-2000 networks

IEEE Seventh International Symposium on Spread Spectrum Techniques and Applications,, 2003
We consider the adjacent channel interference of IMT-2000 networks. The results are shown for the UTRA-FDD mode of the IMT-2000 standard but can be applied to any other mode. The interference is described by an analytical model which includes all interference sources in a cluster of 7 cells.

Mutual radio interference in H.M. ships

Journal of the Institution of Electrical Engineers - Part IIIA: Radiocommunication, 1947
The purpose of this paper is to outline the subject of interference to and from radio and radar installations in H.M. ships. Interference caused by machine-generated radio frequencies is not dealt with, as this type of interference is not greatly different in ships from similar conditions elsewhere. The general principles involved in avoiding mutual ...

Mutual Interferences of Driving and Texting Performance

Proceedings of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Annual Meeting, 2014
Despite legislative and social campaigns to reduce texting while driving, drivers continue to text behind the wheel. There is abundant evidence demonstrating that texting while driving impairs driving performance. While past driver distraction research has focused on how texting influences driving, the influence of driving on texting behaviors is often
