EMV-Algebras—Extended MV-Algebras
2020The present paper is a survey on a new kind of algebras, called EMV-algebras, generalizing both MV-algebras and generalized Boolean algebras. The survey is based on our papers [10, 11, 12, 13]. For these algebras a top element is not assumed a priori. Every EMV-algebra can be covered by a system of MV-algebras where each of them uses the restriction of

In this chapter, we study supplement algebras, MV-algebras and QMV-algebras. MV-algebras were introduced by C. Chang [Cha] as algebraic models of many-valued logics. The prototypical model of MV-algebras is based on the real interval [0, 1]. Nowadays, there is a huge literature devoted to MV-algebras.

C.C. Chang introduced MV-algebras as algebraic models for \({\L }\)ukasiewicz logic to give its algebraic analysis [1] and proved completeness of \({\L }\)ukasiewicz logic with respect to the variety of all MV-algebras. We give the definition of MV-algebra given originally by C.C. Chang in [1].

Free algebras are universal objects: every n-generated MV-algebra A is a homomorphic image of the free MV-algebra Free n over n generators; if an equation is satisfied by Free n then the equation is automatically satisfied by all MV-algebras. As a consequence of the completeness theorem, Free n is easily described as an MV-algebra of piecewise linear ...

In this paper we introduced the notions of fuzzy point MV -algebra and fuzzypoint MV -ideals and discuss the relationship between them and the ideals of MV -algebra.Also we study the product of two fuzzy point MV -algebras.
