Canine distemper virus neutralization activity is low in human serum and it is sensitive to an amino acid substitution in the hemagglutinin protein [PDF]
© 2015 Elsevier Inc.Serum was analyzed from 146 healthy adult volunteers in eastern Africa to evaluate measles virus (MV) and canine distemper virus (CDV) neutralizing antibody (nAb) prevalence and potency.

DERIVATIONS OF MV-ALGEBRAS FROM HYPER MV-ALGEBRAS
Summary: In this paper, we investigate some new results in MV-algebras and (strong) hyper MV-algebras. We show that for any infinite countable set \(M\), we can construct an MV-algebra and a strong hyper MV-algebra on \(M\). Specially, for any infinite totally bounded set, we can construct a strong hyper MV-algebra on it.

Objective Whole-body MRI (wb-MRI) is increasingly used in research and screening but little is known about the effects of incidental findings (IFs) on health service utilisation and costs. Such effects are particularly critical in an observational study.

Derivations of MV‐Algebras [PDF]
We introduce the notion of derivation for an MV‐algebra and discuss some related properties. Using the notion of an isotone derivation, we give some characterizations of a derivation of an MV‐algebra. Moreover, we define an additive derivation of an MV‐algebra and investigate some of its properties.

Anode potential influences the structure and function of anodic electrode and electrolyte-associated microbiomes [PDF]
Three bioelectrochemical systems were operated with set anode potentials of +300 mV, +550 mV and +800 mV vs. Standard Hydrogen Electrode (SHE) to test the hypothesis that anode potential influences microbial diversity and is positively associated with ...

Performance assessment of MIMO systems under partial information [PDF]
Minimum variance (MV) can characterize the most fundamental performance limitation of a system, owing to the existence of time-delays/infinite zeros. It has been widely used as a benchmark to assess the regulatory performance of control loops. For a SISO

Intracellular oxygen tension limits muscle contraction-induced change in muscle oxygen consumption under hypoxic conditions during Hb-free perfusion. [PDF]
Under acute hypoxic conditions, the muscle oxygen uptake (mV˙O2) during exercise is reduced by the restriction in oxygen-supplied volume to the mitochondria within the peripheral tissue. This suggests the existence of a factor restricting the mV˙O2 under

We present a complete characterization of subdirectly irreducible MV-algebras with internal states (SMV-algebras). This allows us to classify subdirectly irreducible state morphism MV-algebras (SMMV-algebras) and describe single generators of the variety of SMMV-algebras, and show that we have a continuum of varieties of SMMV-algebras.
